Three new offers including one to the Hein kid from Perham:
RB Bridge Tusler, 5'11", 195, Osseo (Osseo)
MN LB Chris Wipson, 6'2", 220, Wayzata (Wayzata), MN
Ath Jordan Hein, 6'2", 195, Perham (Perham), MN
Wiki has been updated.
Two factors that need to be considered when making these types of comparisons:
1) The population within a 300 mile radius of the school
2) The last two comparisons were to established football schools in the South where FB is king! Additionally. you need to factor in the number of opposing team fans who travel to attend away games. That is a huge number in the South!
We have offered Quinton Hooker, a 6' guard from Park Center. Also have interest in Kebu Johnson, a 6'3", shooting guard from Blake, also in the Cities.
It is interesting to note that Comes was chosen as the offensive MVP of the Scout team. Ratelle was the defensive MVP. I think Ratelle will be a major contributor soon!
This discussion really has nothing to do with looking ahead at next year's team/season. Let's get back on topic. If you wish to continue this discussion in another thread, please do so!
There was another offeree that we were not aware of: Joel Ragazzo, a DE from Spanaway, WA. He is going to Army.
Another offeree, Brandon Hathaway, DB from TN, first verbaled to Tennessee Tech but he signed with Murray Sate.
I started a 2013 list on Wiki a few weeks ago. I have added Ryen. The list is up to four.
If anyone knows of any others - I would guess there are some ND or NW MN kids that will get our attention, please post it here and I will add them to Wiki.
60-60 with 2:30 left and we lose 69-62, our senior veteran fouls out of the game with 3 points and 2 rebounds, we turn the ball over 21 times and miss a ton of free throws. No excuse - I don't care if you are on the road!
We are up 30-27 at half. Six of 13 on the FT line. Unreal!!
The Houston Baptist women are trailing for ladies by 30 at half time yet HBU has made 8 of 9 FTs!!
I agree - I have been following UND FB recruiting closely for many years. I don't every remember only one OL in a class. Even with the PWOs, Schwartkopf is expected to be on defensive side of the line.
I posted this over on the FCS Recruiting thread - meant to have it here....>
I think Wiki is fully updated with the 21 signees and 7 PWOs (assuming those that haven't paid their fees will show up on campus this fall). It will be interesting to learn if any of the guys had more offers than we are aware of. I like the class but it appears there weren't many who had other offers. No need to comment on that comment - I fully realize some kids who weren't highly recruited turn out to be great college FB players. However, I would prefer that they were more highly thought of by other schools
