  1. Don't worry about it, you'll never be on the level of "they", that I can assure you of. My opinion of phil stands, like it or not. I could care less.
  2. Hey, it's not from me, just what "they" are saying.
  3. Please show me where I attacked phil.
  4. Coming from fans other than me, you need to jump off the Oshie bandwagon which you so conveniently jumped on this year after the season started, you're totally fake. Just read your sig line, you're just embarrassing yourself. That's not coming directly from me but a few other long time Sioux fans.
  5. Don't start these threads if you guys can't handle the opinions of people that post things you may not agree with. Either that or just don't read these threads, it's that simple.
  6. You are an idiot.
  7. Once again, I'm supposed to respect everyone else's opinion, but the reverse is never true. I could care less if TJ wins it. I'm simply stating my opinion why I think mr. kessel DOES NOT deserve it, please explain to me why people have a problem with this.
  8. Laugh all you want, kessel being rookie of the year is as big of a shame as him going #1 overall in the upcoming NHL draft.
  9. Then don't start threads about why it is a forgone conclusion kessel will be ROTY. That way people won't give their opinions and you all won't be subjected to the horror.
  10. If anyone had enough guts to enforce the rules, from on ice officials straight on up to sheppard's office, punkobitch would have already started his career as a french fry technician at burger king.
  11. I have admitted it, but playing for the gophers is not the reason for disliking kessel (theplayer), I don't dislike him as a person. The even better question is, why does it bother all of you so much because I don't like kessel as a player, you can argue stats, ect. all day long, it doesn't change the fact that he's lazy and has no heart. He may be a top three draft pick, but 6 months ago he was supposedly a lock for being #1 overall, why in the world would any team in their right mind have a change of heart ? Could it be his performance or lack thereof at the WJC ? Hmmmmm, I said it after that first game, go back and check the threads. I also said previously, and stand by it, that even if he goes first overall, he doesn't hold a candle to the previous two. (Ovechkin, and Crosby).
  12. He never would have led if he hadn't racked up those five assisits against norway. But to answer your question, no he wouldn't be on my team, he's too soft. The proof is in the pudding. Just like in conference play, he scores against cream puffs, and dissappears against the heavy hitters. Where was he against team canada, against team finland, he was invisible, except for being knocked on his ass. When Oshie got knocked out against the fins, the US had the lead. It was the perfect opportunity for your golden boy to step up and lead that team to the bronze medal. What happened, TJ went to the locker room and so did the heart and soul of team USA, and phil's opportunity to shine went by the wayside, what a shame. When the chips are down your boy dissappears. And you praise him for padding his stats against bottom feeders at all levels, you are the beacon of light amongst all who follow hockey. How about we ask Walt Kyle what he thinks, careful, the answer may just shock you.
  13. I want the goophers here, more than anything, bring em on.
  14. Now that's just not true. I give kessel all the credit in the world for being THE MOST heartless, selfish, one move wonder player in all of college hockey. Like I said at the outset of the world juniors and was blasted for it, kessel is one dissapointment after another, but USA hockey wants their golden boy. There is no need to listen to what I think, but the experts who evaluate hockey talent should be credible enough and you refuse to listen to them. This would be a good time for Sioux-Habit to tell us about the WJC favorite move again. For the record my true colors are green and black, not yellow(pee), and brown(poo).
  15. But yet according to the pro's, and by that I mean scouts, ect. Toews stock has either risen or stayed where it was and phil's, well let's just reiterate here, phil's true colors have shown, and it hasn't gone unnoticed.
  16. This is a discussion of who might win ROTY, Oshie and kessel are both candidates, there are some people here that are not convinced kessel is the best person for that award, aside from all of his stats. As I have said before bearman, it's obvious to me that you have limited hockey knowledge as you base most of your opinions on numbers. I'm sorry you can't get past that and pick up the other little nuances that the game offers, other than scoring goals. As far as kessel's performance in the WJC, I'm not the only one who was dissapointed. You obviously didn't see many of the games. Or don't watch closely enough to see what's going on. In any case I hope phil wins it so you are happy that his stats will back up everything you say, then you can tell me how wrong I am and that I should grow up, again.
  17. We all know who th ROTY should be. I don't care how many points a guy scores. TJ has a more complete game, period, end of story. He made phil look stupid at the WJC. TJ also has leadership qualities on the ice and in the locker room. You can see he elevates other's around him. This was evident when he got knocked out of the bronze medal game with Finland. We had a lead, and Team USA's golden boy couldn't seal the deal after TJ didn't return for the third period. That alone shows the difference is huge between the two players. So TJ's stats aren't as good, can phil's numbers make up for TJ's heart, and passion for playing the game of hockey like it should be played ? Not in my mind. I say enjoy all of your "individual honors" you can garner there phil, you've already shown your true colors to all the people that really know hockey.
  18. Well, dave, if you were the parent's of Bina, Oshie, or Finley I wonder what kind of an opinion you would have about the situation. You feel offical's need to deal with this problem, but the fact of the matter is they have not. gwoz the idiot isn't doing anything about it either, so my question to you dave is this. Who then should deal with punkobitch, or in you opinion should we just let his conscience be his own guide to what he feels is right and wrong. I think he has proven that he is not capable of knowing right from wrong many times over now. So in light of these facts I would like you dave to tell all of us neanderthal's here what the appropriate solution is. Sorry for the second post here folks.
  19. punkobitch is a worthless piece oh $hit. His future is cooking french fries at Mcdonalds, or maybe cleaning toilets at a casino somewhere. I don't know how many more times the powers that be are going to allow these blatant acts of VIOLENCE to continue. Sorry folks, but what punkobith has done is NOT part of the game of hockey. The other thing I'm sick and tired of is people acting like this eh-es-es hole is some kind of victim in all of this. Please, this idiot deserves everything he gets. The Prphc shot to the junk was just a scratch, nothing more folks. You can't even compare it to what he did to Bina, and now Oshie and Finley. There's a big damn difference between laying in the hospital with a broken neck wondering if your life will ever be somewhat normal again and getting a little shot in the pills. I'm not saying Prpch's shot wasn't cheap, or even called for, but there's no comparing the two IMO. What amazes me even more is the fact that punkobitch's idiot coach, and yes gwoz you are an idiot, doesn't try to reign this guy in. That makes him just as guilty. The league needs to protect these players simply by enforcing the rules of the game. As far as the old eye for an eye theory, if the league isn't going to do something about punkobith and his criminal behavior, maybe it's time someone took care of him on the ice. I would almost guarantee what would have happened to punkobitch last year when he ran Bina had Blaiser been around. He would have sent the dogs and this whole thing would'nt be an issue right now. The bottom line is either gwoz the idiot needs to reign this guy in or the WCHA/NCAA needs to do something because he has proven time and time again he shouldn't be on the ice with these other "elite athletes". He brings nothing to the game other than violent criminal acts. He'll never make it in the NHL, that's little consolation, but hey, it's something knowing his career in hockey is done in just a couple short years. Remeber it punkobith, when guys like Oshie and Finley have long NHL careers and you are scrubbing toilets at Taco Bell, get fitted for that uniform now cause that's where you're going to be.
  20. I believe they called it after review and denvers idiot coach and his little temper tantrum. But I may be wrong I was laughing too damn hard. If that's true then it is just a typical night of wcha officiating.
  21. We don't really have any show boats on our team that celebrate excessively. Except for the Chorney jersey-pop incident vs. the goophs, and Lammy's glass rattling with his stick. I may be going off track with this but I'm going to tell this story. A couple of years ago I went to the Warroad vs. EGF game in EGF. The Green Wave players double and triple teamed TJ most of the night, and did a good job keeping him out of the score book. Towards the end of the game EGF pulled their goalie. TJ finally swiped one and took off up the ice, and tripped. As he was sliding he did a kind of "pool cue" shot and the puck went in the empty net. He jumped up and hiked up his breezers and then did a double fist pump in the air. I remember sitting there just cracking up. The celebration wasn't meant to be excessive it was just one of those weird, funny hockey deals. I'll never forget it.
  22. What in the blue hell are you talking about ?
  23. I haven't seen as much this year as in the past (section 8 hockey), but I have seen Forney play on a couple occasions. I think he does some good things with the puck when he has it, goes to the net, distributes to teammates, ect. Sometimes when he doesn't have the puck he tends to stand around. That may be as simple as a coaching issue or whatever. I'm not knocking the kid here so please don't anyone take it that way, I think he has tremendous talent, just needs to pursue the play a little harder sometimes. I don't think comparing him to TJ or anyone else is fair, they are different players, however, do I think he make's the jump to D1 fresh from high school and has an impact ? That may be a stretch, but hey, I'm not a hockey coach, just a fan. Aaron Marvin is also gonna be a great player, already is, hope the Sioux can wrap him up as well, he has size, good hands, and can play the physical style of game. I will tell you one thing for sure, within the next couple of years, with Vandy, Forney, and possibly Marvin, we're going to have some monsters on the offensive side of the puck. Hopefully TJ, Toews, and some of those guys stick around, it could get real fun watching these guys.
  24. Hmmmmm, that sounds very familiar to what was being said on this board a couple years ago. Not about wasting a recruit, but more like "who the hell is this kid".
  25. I don't think we will ever see Brian play the "punishing" style of D that a guy like Smaby plays. It's not his style. It does seem he has fallen off the pace a little after the WJC, but he's a competitor and I think he will be just fine.
