Well, like it or not, someday punkobitch will get his. My favorite example of this is jeff taffe getting his face busted up last year in the AHL, sooner or later all the cheap stuff catches up with you. It's an old school mentallity, but hey, it's effective.

What about #18 ? When he was a freshman I remember him going to the net hard with the puck. He would just lower his shoulder and drive right to the net. I remember thinking to myslef, this guy's an animal. Hey Drew, take the biscuit to the basket man, you've got the size and the hands, just let 'er rip.

I was watching the Red Wings vs. Avalanche game last weekend, and after one of Detroits goals, the announcer had a startling revelation. He said, "if you want to score goals in the NHL, or any level of hockey, get yourself in front of the net", or something very similar to that. It is brilliant in it's simplicity.

I fail to see the relevance of how many points you score and against who, in considering the Hobey, as far a a popularity contest that statement just sounded stupid. I also agree that Panzer was a great college hockey player.

I was trying to have a little fun with you, hence the smiley face. I usually reserve all of my animosity for idiot goopher fans. UMD is one of the other schools I usually do root for. However, if you want to play rough, I am more than willing to oblige you in that. How about you reserve Sioux Hockey game threads for Sioux Hockey, instead of clogging them up with useless info about UMD. There, do you feel better now.

There is a lot more to the Hobey than how many points you score, and who you score them against. Of course you being such a good college hockey fan already knew that. I don't know why we are even discussing it. Didn't phil the thrill already get the ROTY, Hobey Baker, All World MVP, and Bestest Hockey Player Ever Award, automatically handed to him the day he announced (at his very own press conference) that he was going to be a goopher ? We will just have to wait until next year for one of our guys to have a chance I guess.

With all due respect to the good fans from Duluth, don't waste your money on tickets. Unless you want to come and watch the dogs get seriously whipped this weekend. Our boy's have their backs against the wall, and I have a feeling that the Sioux are going to play like a team on a mission from here on in. The bottom line is you go when the team who owns your rights says it's time for you to go. If they are ready to take you and you don't sign there are always risks involved, injuries, ect.

This is really hard, there are so many good choices. I think my favorite goalie is Bob Iwabuchi, just cause I like to say "Iwabuchi". Favorite tough guy(s), I like Commie, who I have met and is a great guy, Archie, and Scott Kirton he was a tough SOB. I think Prphc could be my favorite agitator/tough guy. After that little scrum with Mankato, I saw Prpch grab the game puck off the ice and hand it to a kid behind the bench, it totally made that kids night, those little things these players do is what makes Sioux Hockey the best. Favorite set up/goal scoring type guys, I think Parise and Bo were a real pleasure to watch. Obviously the Hrkac Circus. I agree that in the future we may be bringing up names like Oshie, Toews, Zajac ect. Hopefully they stay long enough to make a great impact like so many others. As far as favorite games I like the Final Five Championship game from a couple years ago, although the Sioux lost, what a battle back and forth with the dirty goophers, an instant classic.

There is a big difference between attacking someone with a different opinion, and attacking someone who is completely without a clue. Not going to point the finger at anyone in particular though.

I say this with all due respect to Phil, because I too feel he could play for any other team in collge hockey. Parise is the man, that's just the simple truth. I agree that at this point in the year you need to saddle your horse and ride him through the playoff's. That horse is Parise, bottom line.

I promise, I wasn't trying to bait you there Redwing. I just saw the article and thought to myself, if Big Time college BBall can hold there officials accountable for a horse$hit call, why can't they do it for hockey ? I could give several legit examples of different incidents that would have caused an official a game suspension.
