  1. Ok, here's the deal. It's real simple. TJ is staying, that's the bottom line, period. One look at the kid's past history tells you that he is genuine. When he was a junior in H.S. Warroad lost in the first round of the state tourny. Everyone thought for sure he would bolt for juniors and play a year or two before coming to UND, didn't happen. Why? Because TJ understands the words friend, teammate, loyalty, commitment. He wanted to play one last year where his ancestors, legends if you will, played hockey. He knew he could be part of something special, Warroad went undefeated his senior year. Look up the history of Warroad hockey, the Oshie's, the Boucha's, ect. they are hockey legends. He knows he can be part of something special here at UND, and I honestly believe he has the same commitment to the Fighting Sioux program as he did to Warroad's hockey program. As for where he comes from, the geography here is irrelevant. His given Ojibway name sums it up for me in it's english translation, Keeway Gaboo (sorry if I misspelled) simply means "coming home." Disect that any way you want, but he was given that name for a reason. To me he's a Warroad kid through and through.
  2. It's your world mike, we just live in it man.
  3. First and foremost, I believe TJ is a man of his word. If he says he is staying then that's good enough for me, end of story. Second, I would hope that the Blues would respect and support his decision. Third, I think the pact was between TJ, Duncan, and Chorney, as well as others (Finely, ect.) so I don't know if Toews was a part of that or not. I think it would have been difficult for JT to make a commitment like that to those guys, only to let them down later, and I'm sure they all understood that.
  4. Completely laughable. I didn't think it was possible, but you have really outdone yourself on this one.
  5. Out of the lineup? Toews only missed a couple games with a banged up shoulder (not counting the WJC's,) and TJ played every game with his injuries through the first half of the year. Hell, I remember when Toews got banged up, he went down the tunnel and came back out to the bench two or three times before he finally went to the locker room and stayed. You would have a hard time keeping JT, and TJ off of the ice even with an injury (depending on the severity of course.)
  6. Not only one heck of a player, but a great person as well. Congrats and good luck to you JT.
  7. Call me what you want, but if you actually think that ry-ry is a better player standing on the dot and swatting at pucks that danny boy feeds him across the slot vs. Zajac and his game ,you truly know nothing about the hockey. ry-ry may have posted more points than Zajac, but again, I don't always believe stats are the best indication of how good a player really is. Zajac stepped right in and had an immediate impact on a team that went to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. I don't think he really cares that ry-ry put up more NCAA points than he did. bucky$hit, and livestoplaywithhimself show their intelligence with every post they make (or lack of intelligence.) I hate to tell you this, but there are many players who do the little things so well that guys like you don't even notice them, all you see are numbers and base all of your opinions on that. Open your eyes boys, there is alot more going on out on the ice then just goals and assists. Any way, this thread is about Lammy and Grieco, so let's get back to that.
  8. Post all the stats you want dickhead, you see who is making an impact in the NHL right now. Zajac is more of a complete player than danny and ry-ry can ever dream to be. As far as stafford he will be a better player than either of those two (danny and ry-ry), only because Lindy ruff won't put up with his childish antics, and will make a real hockey player out of him.
  9. And yet Zajac played a regular shift on a team that went to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. While irmen I don't think ever saw NHL ice time last year and ry-ry got his ass kicked along the boards (like the wuss that he is) every time he was on the ice for philly. Yeah those two were/are much better players then Zajac.
  10. Yeah, how many here would trade an Oshie, Staford, Zajac, or Duncan, for ry-ry. Not me that's for sure.
  11. Yea, I would, but I enjoy watching him stick his foot in his mouth EVERY time he posts something.
  12. Once and for all, I only sell auto parts, I don't install them. There's a huge difference, I wouldn't expect you to comprehend, hell you can't even figure out that every here thinks you are a stupid a-hole. keep trying though sooner or later you might get it.
  13. Goon, how dare you question playswithhimselfs credibility, if he says something, you need to accept it as "the way it is." Or as Stone Cold Steve Austin put it...."that's the bottom line......."
  14. I actually find the wooger quite entertaining.
  15. Hopefully it's just a mild heart attack there Goon. If he does in fact come back you won't want to miss any of the action next year.
  16. Really, is that a new rule or something?
  17. Yeah, not only that but I guess Ottawa has no AHL affiiliate anymore..... You will never learn, will you?
  18. Yeah, lived there for the first 20 years of my life, funny how you miss those stupid little things. When I moved to GF I went to eat at KFC one time and asked them for a hot-n-tot, they looked at me like I was stupid and asked "what's that?" I said never mind, just give me a coke.
  19. The funny thing is that you will spend the rest of your life working at Big Boy on the east end of Main ave in Bismarck, making hot-n-tot's and pizza burger's flying style, while Big Joe will be in the NHL making millions of $$$$$. All to play the game we know and love.
  20. You know, it never ceases to amaze me how smart a dog is. Last winter when the power went out, my rotty came and woke me up. I don't know if it was the change in temp. in the house, or the fact that it was completely dark, and there was absolutely no noise (from the furnace going on and off, ect.) I honestly believe that she woke me up because she felt that something was not right, as she never, ever wakes me up in the middle of the night. She was persistent about it too, she kept nudging me with her head, and wouldn't stop until I actually crawled out of bed. I honestly believe she would alert me to any other situation that she knew was not "normal" to her. We don't give them enough credit sometimes for being very intelligent.
  21. Don't underestimate yourself, a little hard work and you can accomplish alot. You need to get on my training program, starting ASAP. Meet me at the Moon for wings and beer till you puke, then were going to eat and drink more, the time is now mikejm.
  22. My rotty would go to work with me if I would let her. She follows me to the door every morning. It just breaks her little heart that I have to send her back inside the house and I leave for the day.
  23. I can't argue with that.
  24. Just saying, the topic is "Joe returning," not who was on the radio this morning. It's probably worthy of it's own thread.
  25. What exactly does this have to do with the topic of "Finley returning."
