They are mandatory. The only players who don't have to wear them are those that were grandfathered in before the rule change.

I could get on board with this if the name is the University of North Dakota Fighting Kelly Green River Pirates of the North.

This is hogwash...pure hogwash! You mean to tell me that you don't actually believe that gfhockey makes upper 6 figures and basically runs the oil fields out west, or that he's not personal buddies with Blais and probably has a private jet flying him around from the oil patch to Minneapolis for the Frozen Faceoff, Fargo for the regional and Boston for the National Championship? Heck, he probably flew his boys down to Omaha for a few UNO games and then treated Blaiser to a wild night of partying and gambling at the casinos! If you don't take him at his word, then I don't know what to tell you. Heck, he's 10-0 in game day threads! I suppose next you're going to tell me that the tooth fairy only put 50 cents under my pillow and my parents had to put an extra couple bucks in there after she left so I wouldn't be disappointed. Or that the Easter Bunny put vegetables in the plastic eggs that he leaves for us in the morning, and my parents would get up early and replace the veggies with candy. I MEAN...COME ON!!!

Agreed, not worth arguing about. But disagree on the classless part. I can think of a lot of things that are classless, but this....nope. I read these comments like: "I can't believe the other coach isn't being honest to us about his team's injuries, that big meany! How could he lie to us like that?!"
-
I guess I don't see an issue here. Who cares what he says, or if he's "playing games"? Is there a rule that says you have to be 100% honest with injury reports? Or a rule that says if you say something at first, you can't say "no comment" later? It's not "cheating" is it? You guys would seriously have an issue with Hakstol saying that MacMillan is done for the year, and then he ends up suiting up on Saturday night? And I agree, I don't think it had any difference on how the Sioux prepared. I just don't see an issue here. * For the record, I think there is no chance that Mac plays, but just using that as an example.

Isn't this an oxymoron?

Austin Czarnik to the......drumroll please.....(sorry MM)......Bruins. B’s Officially Sign “Top-10” Prospect To Entry-Level Deal

Not to stir the pot, but... UND starts taking nickname ideas at 8 a.m. Wednesday "Goehring said President Robert Kelley told the committee recently that keeping UND/North Dakota as a permanent name is still an option."

I didn't hear all of Pecknold's comments...but I question why so many are taking shots at him because of the Anas injury deal? Why would he have to (or want to) tell the world Anas' status? If I was him, I'd do the same.

LOL! MM - we're going to convert you one way or another!

I think the NDSU football team would be more than happy to help gather signatures.

Ha...that's funny right there!

Agreed...I replied just to give MM crap!

We shall see. Keep in mind, Lansing is only 90 miles and Ann Arbor is only 45 miles from Detroit, yet you saw how attendance turned out for the Big Joke tournament in Joe Frazier Arena.

If there's an empty net and a player has a breakaway and is hauled down by a defender, or if the puck is shot and a defending player throws his stick to stop it a goal can be awarded. I don't think that's the case for a high stick. A high stick results in a whistle and faceoff in the zone, just like it does any other time during the game. But dang, I wish Zane would have scored. If that went in Scheel's Arena would have absolutely blown up. He actually had a 2nd attempt at it and fanned on the shot!

St. Cloud/Tech warmups just got over. Any time Lindgren let a puck in during warm ups he got razzed by all the Green and White in the standing room area behind him. Gonna be rockin here tonight!

Get ready for NCAA hockey tourney!
-
Correct - I just called about that today. They explained to me that this was an NCAA mandate, not something that Scheel's Arena decided upon.

How did you this GIF of Jim Dahl?! -
Oh, he knows exactly what he's doing.

It was Big Roosters, wasn't it?

HAHA - you don't have to worry - I haven't hit the Ignore button for you! In fact, I haven't ignored anyone on here ever. I find there is great entertainment value in reading the same $hit over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
