Agreed. Philadelphia has a game in hand on both Pittsburgh and Detroit. They're 2 points behind Detroit and 3 points behind Pittsburgh. Here are each team's remaining games vs. non playoff contenders: Pittsburgh - 5 Detroit - 7 Philadelphia - 5 So yes, Philadelphia plays Pittsburgh 3 more times and that'll have a huge impact on the playoff standings. Also, Detroit has more games vs. non-playoff contenders, so I'd agree that if Philly is going to make the playoffs it'll likely come at Pittsburgh's expense before Detroit. I guess I said I hope they catch Detroit because I'd really like to see their playoff streak come to an end.

As a Bruins fan who has absolutely no love for other Eastern teams, I find myself in the very weird position of really hoping the Flyers can bump out the Red Wings for the 8th playoff spot in the East. In the past, I'd be hoping that the Flyers tanked and finished last in the East...well, maybe 2nd or 3rd to last with the Canadiens pulling up the rear and Toronto right in the mix. But for some reason this year I really want them to bump off the Red Wings...I just can't place my finger on why...

I think it's already headed in that direction. In talking with people in the know, they were very happy with how things went in Fargo last year. That, along with what's being discussed in this thread now such as working around UND scheduling, playing games all over town - I believe in the past they've played games at the Ralph, the Olympic sheet, the Purpur - not sure about this year's schedule - that once the contract at the Ralph is up (not sure when that is) we'll see this tournament in Fargo a lot more.

Thoughts on the Roszival hit on Zucker?I You could argue that the puck wasn't on Zucker's stick, so I could maybe see a 2:00 interference call - and that's even questionable since Zucker was trying to get control of the puck as it was in the air, but holy crap - 5:00 major and game ejection?! Roszival doesn't leave his feet, doesn't hit him with an elbow, looks like a shoulder to shoulder check to me. Yes, I see that Zucker's head hits the ice and unfortunately he got a concussion from that. I just don't get how Roszival gets a 5:00 and a game for that...
