Rumor has it Dan Hammer will become the Sports director at KVLY. This will mean he will be done doing play by play for UND. I would just like to wish him well. The interesting side bar is he will now be doing play by play for Bison games on TV Bison fans have absolutely ridiculed him on how bad he is and want nothing to do with him and now he will be doing their games. I suppose they will like him now. Once again good luck Dan.

Everyone here knows how Bison Dan comes on here and spreads his baloney. Most of the time he doesn't even know whats he's talking about. I think he is at it again. Does anyone really believe he is married? Ouch. If it is true that has to hurt.

I don't think that UND would have any interest in the MVFC. UND got into the conference that was their 1st choice. The Big Sky is where they wanted to get into and it happened. The future is really exciting.

The bottom line is Fargo has had 18 years to prepare for this game. They have ridiculed every one else and predicted that when they finally would get a playoff game people would tear down the doors to get to the Fargodome.. They said the excitement would be unmatched. Their own ticket manager was on TV this week saying he had never seen anything like it because the demand for tickets was at a fever pitch.(apparently not). He gave the impression that the lines for tickets were all the way to Jamestown. You can make all the excuses you want but considering the anticipation there was in Fargo for finally being able to host a playoff game it fell flat. It is funny about that saying about how it comes around. NDSU has a tendency to manufacture excitement and sell it to the public as if it was there.

They announced at 6 tonight that there have been 11,000 tickets sold for the Bison playoff game in Fargo tomorrow. I know it is the holiday weekend but I thought they would sellout that game in a hurry since they haven't hosted a playoff game in 20 years. Surprising. It would seem odd if they had 8000 empty seats tomorrow.

Someone said the Alumni Assoc. at NDSU bought up a bunch of tickets and they are giving them away to try get people to come to the playoff game. You wouldn't think they would need to do that when it is the first playoff game at NDSU in 20 years. You would everyone would be storming the ticket office to buy tickets.

Nobody at NDSU and in Fargo will admit it but there is a lot of envy going on south of here. They would love to be in the Big Sky. They would of given everything to get in the Big Sky. They wanted the Big Sky badly. Unfortunely they were rejected by the Big Sky. UND is delighted to be in the Big Sky. It won't be long before NDSU will be trying to figure out a way to get into the Big Sky.

With the big news of Montana staying in the Big Sky I suppose NDSU might be sniffing to get in the Big Sky down the road. If they do come begging, how do you think UND would vote on whether to add NDSU? It might be interesting. They sure never made any effort to get us in their conference( in fact just the opposite).

I think Montana is as good as gone to the Wac. I hope I am wrong but I think they are gone.

Refresh my memory. Do we have any other girls signed for the future?

Didn't we sign (or get a committment) from a real young guard from the Mpls. area a year ago or so who was really young , like maybe a 9th grader. What is going on with her. Is she still in the picture.?

Does Northern Iowa get a say in it?

Now that SDSU has their true #1 rival back in USD are they still going to play for the marker with NDSU. I am guessing that NDSU will now have to come up with another true #1 rival. Let the speculation begin. I think it will either be Indiana State or Missouri State.

As they say in card playing UND getting into the Big Sky absolutely trumps the Summit/MVC as a conference. UND does need to improve our teams but that will come in time. It won't happen over night. Exciting times ahead.

Ther are 5 division 1 football programs in Noth Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota. Without a doubt the worst program in the bunch is the Gophers. Brewster will never survive.

The Bison came out of transition and were a bad football team their first two years of playoff elgibility. I am not sure they are the poster child on how to do it. Let's just hope when we are palyoff elgible that we are beter than what the Bison were when they became playoff elgible. Time will tell with a couple more recruiting classes.

You don't have to go to far from here to see an example of how you don't want to do it. A certain team has been getting poorer every year they move farther intio D1. Let's do it the right way.

Everthing should bode well for the Bison this year too. After a 3 win season everyone will be overlooking the Bison .

It has to be a tough day for Bison Dan. His greatest fears are about to be realized. UND will be in the same league as NDSU. And then UND will continue to dominate NDSU just like they did before NDSU ran off. Ouch.

MplsBison does provide a little comedy relief when he comes on here(which is all the time). It is fun to watch him get taken apart every time he appears. Since he is on this site day and night he has to be a closet Sioux fan.

MplsBison just doesn't get it. Maybe he just isn't intelligent enough. Maybe were just too hard on him. He apparently just isn't smart enough to comprehend. Wow! We better cut him some slack.

People I talked too said UND fully expected to lose the KFGO contract but considering the long standing relationship they had with KFGO they just expected KFGO to at least HONOR the contract that was in place. KFGO set a very poor example of good business practice. Word gets around and that might come back top bite them some day.

There is no one to blame at UND. The fact is that the people that bought KFGO are unfortunately big bison backers for whatever reason. It wouldn't have mattered what we would of negotiated for a contract. He was turning his stations into bison stations. I guess the owner can do what he wants. A person would hope that he would at least honor present contracts. KFGO probably isn't the type of people to do business with.

I hope KFGO has to pay a substantial penalty for breaking the contract 2 years early. It really sheds a very poor light on KFGO and their business ethics. Shame on you. KFGO doesn't have any respect for loyalty or contracts. I have definitely changed my attitude about KFGO. I have no respect for their ownership.
