  1. I had the same thought. I could not believe that a CFB wasn't called. It looked like an easy call to me.
  2. Everyone wonders what Hensick did (said). I think it can be told just by watching the two intermission interviews. Chris Porter was on at the first intermission. Class all the way. Hensick was on at the second, and he does not come across well at all. He clearly has an attitude, and reading between the lines you can tell he is blaming the ref that they are behind. I was not impressed with his interview.
  3. 2-1 AFA, end of 2nd. Shots are 26-24 AFA. AFA doing a very good job of pushing MN out to the side, and not giving up chances directly in front of the net.
  4. 2-1 AFA, scoring during a 5-3 PP. MN had really stepped it up and evened up shots on goal, and then took two interference penalties.
  5. Barribal scores. 1-1.
  6. 2nd period all AFA so far. Shots are now 15-9 and gophers damn lucky they aren't down more. AFA #1 line is putting on a lot of pressure on Briggs.
  7. 1-0 AFA after one. AFA outshooting gophers 11-9. Briggs does not look good. Gophers do not look good. This could be really interesting. GO FALCONS!
  8. The arena has some empty seats. AF goal from the side, same as the Holy Cross game winner last year. Briggs still hasn't fixed that hole.
  9. 1-0 Air Force LET's GO FALCONS!
  10. Final 2-1 Miami. Another #4 - #1 upset. Can we make it three?
  11. 2-1 Miami, just 27.7 seconds left. UNH PP and goalie pulled, so 6-4 skating. Time out Miami.
  12. 2 1/2?? For me it has been 32 as of 12 days ago.
  13. 1:21 left, 4-4 for 18 seconds, then UNH power play.
  14. Still 2-1 Miami. UNH shorthanded due to penalty. Now a penalty on Miami.
  15. Anderson appears to have upset the locals out east and is not very well appreciated.
  16. Does this help?
  17. LET'S GO FALCONS! LET'S GO FALCONS! LET'S GO FALCONS!!
  18. Wow, 2-0 Miami. Pressure is on UNH now.
  19. Considered the possibility, but sometimes you can't be sure, especially with the mad smiley face. (now that's an oxymoron)
  20. UNH outshooting Miami 30-15.
  21. Still 1-0 Miami over UNH at end of 2nd.
  22. It's too late. We already be in the dance. Pairwise is out of consideration now.
  23. I believe that the Sioux sent St. Cloud into a funk during the series down at St. Cloud. First of all, the Sioux simply outplayed them on Friday night even though it was a 3-3 tie, and then the Saturday night trouncing shook up their confidence. Motzko bringing the Gopher attitude of "some games don't count" into that Saturday night game was not good. Getting clobbered by the Sioux at the Final Five might have been the final straw that shattered their confidence, and in hockey confidence is key. They clearly stunk up the ice against Maine and did very little right.
  24. I didn't see any regional that included Navy, but I wouldn't have cheered for them anyway (unless they were playing the gophers, of course).
  25. I am ready to announce who I will cheer for tomorrow afternoon in Denver. I carefully considered all aspects of the game, sat down with the roster and stats of both teams, and carefully identified all of the pros and cons. First off, I am a veteran of the USAF, so that put a check mark in the column for the Air Force Academy. And second, I simply hate those dirty rotten stinking gophers, so that put another check mark in the column for the Air Force Academy. I couldn't find any socially redeeming value in cheering for the gophers and halted the analysis at that point, so the end result was a 2-0 vote for cheering against the gophers. I am very relieved to have completed that exhaustive analysis of the two teams and publicly announce my decision. Go AIR FORCE and GO SIOUX!
