East side of South Washington, south of 32nd. Ate there Saturday and it was good. The Hog Droppings for desert are delicious.

I was a senior as well. I rode through Zap in the car with my folks. We saw enough that there was no way they were going to stop and get out of the car. Missed seeing the skinny dipping in Spring Creek though.

I was kidding, but with a little bit of curiosity about Finnish culture in this area. I did see some things in Germany in 1974 that were perfectly acceptable there but not in the U.S. And I did see plenty of Haula-type activity at Zip to Zap in 1969.

It could have just been a cultural thing. Maybe public watering is permissible in Finland.

This situation raises a number of questions: 1) One has to wonder what is running through Barry Alvarez's mind these days regarding Penn St. 2) Can this situation affect the alumni donation situation to start the Penn St. hockey program? If it does, what happens to the BTHC? 3) Will this affect Penn. St. alumni donations for athletics in general, and if so, what will be the long-term impacts? 4) As Goon pointed out, how will the loss of Big Ten revenue hurt the other conference schools? 5) Does this raise the stakes and investigative threshold when a team applies to join a conference? Are conferences going to have to upgrade their membership checklist? 6) What might this result in at the NCAA level for additional rules/regulations?

I guess #7 was too obvious?

Since Penn State is a state institution, is it possible the state legislature will dictate that no state funds can go to pay the NCAA fines nor replace any dollars used to pay the NCAA fines? That might be very devastating to any financial recovery plan for athletics.

Of course, under the following conditions: 1) MN can only recruit players from MN to continue their "we only recruit in MN" shtick 2) MN recruits must start their college careers at 19 or earlier so they can continue to complain how old other teams are 3) MN cannot play any evening games in the NCHC tournament to eliminate home field ice locality advantage 4) MN team must fly to Denver and back prior to playing in the NCHC tournament to eliminate home ice travel advantage 5) All MN players involved in the World Juniors must walk back to MN after that tournament is done to provide an excuse for second half collapse 6) All MN non-conference games must be at home against teams ranked outside of the PWR top 30 for the past five years. 7) MN must rehire John Hill as assistant coach emeritus for life and cut Mike Guentzel free from the team I think that does it.

Maybe I was going to send someone a present.

Linky please!

Sooooooo, if the Gophers have a good year in 2012-2013, wouldn't they primarily be John Hill recruits??

So.....We are #1 twice?

The WI fans sure went quiet when the Sioux tied it up at 2-2. When I opened my suitcase when we got home from that trip, all I could smell was State Street Brats in my clothes.

You are just upset because none of the answers are Prpich.

Sioux hockey is 365/366 days per year for some of us.
-
Obviously I do, since so far it appears that no one has an interest. But that is okay since I learned some things along the way, like the name of an Australian/New Zealand confectionary company.

If we all live by the rules it doesn't matter how he is classified.

Here's an example for those pondering how this works. Example clue: Popular donut shop Answer: Dunkin' Donuts Player name: Ryan Duncan

The Fighting Sioux hockey off-season is a drag from a sports perspective. It is a time for forum topics to be hijacked, frustrated fans venting on other fans, and everyone waiting for the next season to start. To help pass the off-season here is a quiz to guess the UND Fighting Sioux hockey player(s) based on the clue given. The clue relates to the player's last name, but both first and last names are required. Some will have two answers. All of these players are pre-2000, but may carryover beyond 2000. Some are well-known and some are not. PM me if you want the answers. Hopefully others can come up with some more games to pass the time. 1. Off-spring of Richard 2. At the end of a play you bring down the "________" 3. A brand of automobile manufactured in the US from about 1904-1925 (two names) 4. A common brand of lawn equipment 5. The business of dressmaking 6. No, he is not associated with MI6 7. Hmmm, is the circus coming to town? (and no, this is not Tony Hrkac) 8. To pour down a drink you have to "_______" back. 9. Just a "______'s" throw away 10. The business of suits. 11. Australian and New Zealand confectionary brand 12. Harry and the "___________s" 13. German tank (two names) 14. Dennis' neighbor 15. "_______" Perry opened up Japan for trade with the U.S. 16. An elderly comic book character 17. A female smooch 18. A lower member of royalty 19. The weapon of Thor 20. A brand of bathroom fixtures 21. A spotless fast food restaurant 22. Offspring of Dave 23. Slower than a runner 24. Be "____" to yourself 25. He was not the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Gulf War My sincere apologies to any Fighting Sioux players who do not like their clue. Have fun.

Sounds like the voice of reason and experience!

For some reason you are under the delusion that it may end when Jones announces his decision, or shortly thereafter. That might be possible during the season, but not over the summer hockey doldrums. There are enough conspiracy theorists on this board to keep it going until the first exhibition game in October.

"Only a little bit?"
