That seems counterintuitive to the name "Le-a" which is pronounced LeDasha because the dash don't be silent!

My English teacher would be appalled. (or should that now be english?)

YaneA - Sent you a PM. We will be picking up the hat for Southpaw.

It affects the conference standings, and thus the seeding for the conference tournament at the end of the year. It does reduce the number of tie-breaking procedures to determine seeding for the conference tournament. Other than that, it has little effect. However, the joy of the crowd and the MSU players when they won the shootout was quite evident. So there is also that.

There is no way a coaching staff can tend to each and every team member 24 hours per day. And they likely cannot pay someone to follow these guys around, tuck them into bed, and keep their noses clean. It would likely violate some obscure NCAA rule because that would be a benefit service not available to the general student population. These teams are made up of testosterone charged type A personalities that can cloud their judgment at times. It is indeed unfortunate.

We don't know the terms and conditions that Hakstol laid down after the last incident (whether you consider it a big deal or not). It may not be the $4 issue, but rather that he did not meet the expectations placed on him.

In most cases in business, once an employee gives notice or informed they are being fired, computer access and access to proprietary information (such as customer lists, which in this case would be recruits) and critical infrastructure are taken away. Normal retirement would be an exception.

No power play either way. It went 5 on 5 which doesn't make sense to me unless they considered each pair of penalties as matching. By pairs matching I mean Panz-Morrison and Panz-Stewart. In that case I can see reasoning for doing what they did.

I am surprised at all of the speculation about Bohl going to Nebraska at some point. If I recall correctly, the last time he was at Nebraska he was just about escorted to the state line to be sure he left.
-
They actually let Panz out after 2 minutes, which was too early. They then went to the bench and escorted him back to the penalty box for his second two minute penalty. He served the four.
-
For the most part good, but he had a major oops late in the game that could have cost the victory. He made a cross ice pass across the front of the net and passed it directly to a Broncos player camped right in front of Gothberg. Thankfully Gothberg made the save, but I am sure he has already heard about that one from the coaching staff (and Gothberg).

According to Goon, it is not in HD.

It is just a little defensive reaction because of the Gopher trolls that do come around here. You all begin to sound alike at some point.

Just curious as to how many others saw Hakstol show some emotion on the bench when Rodwell scored. He actually jumped a little bit and pumped both arms into the air. There may even have been a hint of a smile, but that part could be basis for a rumor.

One thing that I have noticed this year is a lack of anyone in front of the net many times. That fourth line (Pattyn, Gaarder, and Rodwell) seems to be the one able to do it, although last night Luke Johnson did a decent job of it as well. I am wondering if St. Clair could be a front of the net guy if matched up with a couple of more finesse skaters. I guess that I am not convinced Gaarder gives more offensively, especially since he just went though about a 31 game goal-scoring drought. He suddenly seems to have found it last week and this week though. I do believe that St. Clair has an offensive potential to him, it just hasn't made much of an appearance yet. Unless things turn around, I am afraid that injuries and the flu bug may continue to make lineup decisions and all of our mixing and matching become meaningless drivel. (it probably is anyway).
-
Just curious as to why you would break up Pattyn, Gaarder, and Rodwell. That group is really clicking now and adding scoring. I would try adding St. Clair on one of the lines that isn't clicking rather than break up something that is working.

In another head scratcher: CC 4 UNO 2

I agree he does take some stupid penalties, but tonight one of his penalties was for going after Cichy who hacked at Gothberg. I will allow him to defend the goalie.

We prefer you share the cake.

Kaboom....Now that was a shot. Thanks a lot MafiaMan. I will let you buy this colonialist a drink next spring at Hoggsbreath.

That wasn't a shot at you, just a comment that you must be too young to remember or have known. Brooks coached at SCSU 26 years ago, and the effort to move SCSU to Division 1 began before that. You were in your teens and obviously had more important things on your mind at the time. Some of us more mature types (meaning older than 45 and still capable of remembering Brooks was at SCSU) remember all of the fuss from UM folks when Brooks went to SCSU. It was almost like a slap in the face to the UM hockey faithful that Brooks went to lowly SCSU to coach.

I don't think UND needed to go to the alumni. They spoke loud enough by not attending the games at the end of the season. The drop in attendance more than indicated the loss of ticket sales were more than the buyout cost.
