Sioux Hockey Fanatic

Well let's hope nobody ends up in the clink...ice fishing is a dangerous past time If I cheer against Ohio State that also means I am cheering for Wis. Then you have that principal thing again. Who does AA play? Maybe I'll just cheer for them, they are kinda underdogs in this whole thing and at least have a couple of the colors right.

Personally I plan to watch the Ohio State vs Wis game this weekend. Mostly because it's in Green Bay outside on a football field. I guess they are trying to see what that will be like when the Frozen Four is played in Detriot. I can't stand the idea of the Badgers or the Gophers taking home the MacNaughton Cup but that looks like who will be getting it. Even worse...the Gophers getting to play "at home" in our Arena for the Regionals. So I think the question is a good one. Who needs to beat who to help us move up or at least hold ground in the rankings?

Hey does any one know if the games will be televised this weekend?

I can't make the trip this time, but I would definately recommend the Monach ski resort. They have lots of runs for all levels of skiers. I lived and didn't end up in the hospital. It is also cool because it is literally on the continental divide. If you go a little to close to the edge you'll fall off. But go early it is a three hour drive from the Springs. I know there is a local bar that hosts some UND alumni events so that may be a place to gather with fellow UND fans. I had to forfit my tickets 4 rows off the ice, so I hope you all will cheer loud for me too.

It was a tough weekend but like many have said the season isn't over yet. I'm still planning my trip to Milwaukee. GO SIOUX!!!

I have to have one, now how will I sneak that past my husband??? I managed to get a team (05-06) signed jersey from him for Christmas, not exactly sure how he snagged that. Anybody know what the winning bids were...or willing to tell what you spent?

I don't think the student behavior is out of hand. I have recently been to several other college hockey events and thought the student sections there were much worse than at UND. If they are so upset about students standing then why don't they buy seats somewhere else, like the upper level or stay home and watch it on TV. If they don't want people acting like drunken fools at hockey games then they shouldn't serve alcohol, period. If they can't do math lots of college students are of legal age to buy alcohol, many of them buy it legally at games and drink it during the intermissions. I don't think all the concerns that they have are directly the students. I hear plenty of other things from other areas af the arena. I agree with Hockey Mom, with out the students there would not be a University or a team. Go SIOUX!

Couldn't agree more!! Zelkin is terrible! But I can't say D. Shephard is any better. But the fans sure seem to love to raz him.

I am looking for reasonable tickets on lower level for Sat night game against St. Cloud on Jan. 28.

Any word on how Parise is doing? I heard that the GF Herald is saying he is questionable for the weekend with an upper body injury. (I had heard hip flexor from previous posts or a concussion) I didn't check the article myself. Anyone hear anything?

Was that at the Roseville Alumni Party in Dec? It was quite annoying, but I can't remember if it was that one or a different one. But hopefully the Gophers won't be scoring so you won't have to listen to that this weekend!!!

Do they have the big screens in Bloomington? Or just a couple? I've been heading to Roseville lately. I think you better bring the kid and the wife. It's never too early to start teaching them how to cheer on the Fighting Sioux and how to hate the gophers! Dress the little one in that UND stuff too, its soo cute!

Bummer for your wife, maybe you better not let her even watch the game. If it were me the excitement of it would probably induce labor. Use the money to buy some cute little Sioux baby clothes.

How about Friday in Bloomington and Sat. in Roseville?

I do have a job...I can't be gone every friday from Oct. to April I think I have to go there in May- for a wedding. But I'd rather go for hockey. Maybe I'll start thinking about a trip out there before '08.

I thought Matt Jones was called up to the NHL, just this week.

The rivalry, the shorter drive, they take a fan bus, more Sioux fans live in MN or closer to Duluth than Michigan....need I go on? Although I would love to go. But I think I am going to save my trip to Michigan for Detroit. When Ford Field hosts the Frozen Four.

So does any one know if this game is going to be televised anywhere? If not I guess I'll have to try to catch the Badger v. Gopher series...let's see how that turns out. I thought both teams are on a winning streak. I can't decide what evil would be better, guess I'll hope for a tie or split.
