It was slow motion. The guys that returned from the WJC played 4th line minutes and the rest of the forwards looked beat from their effort Friday. I the Gophers are going to be vulnerable for a while now. Hopefully by the Sioux series they will be clicking again.

Let's just say that if they brought in the crews that did the WJC the PPs would have been about 15 PPs for the Gophers and around 8-10 for Mavs. Campion looked disinterested and like he'd rather be getting ready for his day job Monday AM. Jutting was complaining because in the third they got called for some of the same stuff they had been getting away with all game long. Anyone else wonder why cross-checking from behind into the boards is two minutes but checking from behind is five and a DQ?

If he can, he better take the "U" job.

UW is actually in worse shape in RPI than UND. That doesn't always translate to PWR, but often it does. UND winning 10/16 projects to what would now be 0.5408. UW winning 10/16 only gets them to 0.5350. These RPI results aren't set in stone, but I'd rather be in UND's spot than UW's.

Those pages look great Jim. This just another piece that makes this sight the premier PWR analysis site on the net. I think the Sioux need to win minimally 10/16 and first round WCHA playoff series win to give them a shot at the tourney.

Complete no brainer. Price would gain some consideration, but his performance in the semi-final OT and shootout don't compare to Toews overall.

The rules may not have been applied perfectly, but the mistake was not sending either JJ or Mueller out there for shot #4 to end the shootout.

Yep. Specifically because they are better than the guys I cheer for again this year. Even though their Canada's gracious fans cheered for the Russians vs. the US last year, I'll still be pulling for Canada. I just won't like it.

Did you watch any of the Russia/US games from the past two years? I hate Canada because they beat us continually. I think I'd root for the Badgers over the Russians.

In my opinion Toews would be in Chicago's lineup this year had he pressed them for contract. The real question is whether or not he and Oshie can take over the second half of the season again and get the Sioux deep into the playoffs.

I think Toews will play in the NHL this year if the Sioux fail to make the Frozen Four. Toews has the all around game that Bochenski lacks and could play on any line of an NHL team. If Bochenski isn't a top two line forward do you really want him out there with a checking group?

From what I recall they were all skate in and take forehand shots. No deeks. Frazee didn't cut down angles like the NHL goalies due in shootouts and the Canadians continually exploited it. The Canadian goalie had the same problem, but Kane shot it into his skate while attempting five hole on the only US chance to win the game. This one hurt worse than Holy Cross.

Duh. Because then your silly poking of the US players would have credibility.

As much as I hate Canada, I hope they destroy the Russians. Again.
