  1. Only 3 of the 12 All-NCC'ers were seniors and two of them averaged less than 10 points per game. Next year there will be some big time players and good teams in the NCC. The league gets deeper and deeper every year.
  2. The only thing that could of have been done was to get a later hockey time, which was past the deadline to do for some reason. But the UND BB game won't be going until close to 7:00.
  3. I don't know of any former Sioux...but Lacey Johnson of NDSU came to mind. Same type of body frame, able to handle the ball, shoot the 3, ability to drive into the lane and score and if she gets stronger will be a decent rebounder.
  4. The games will still completely overlap. The UND BB game will not start even close to 6...6:30 would be an accomplishment.
  5. The best thing about Kimrough is that going by the Fosston game I witnessed on Sat night, she has only scratched the surface. The team and her both looked very poorly coached. No offensive scheme at all. I think I saw 1 screen set for her. She basically ran around the lane followed by 2 girls until they could FORCE a pass into her and she would outjump both of them to get the ball....usually 3 defenders by now when a pass was heaved in there. Usually got crushed by one from each side, just so strong now she doesn't box out or put a body on anyone because she doesn't have to. Unbelievably smooth with good body control. No way teams will be able to handle her and Langen at the same time. It will be very interesting how good she can be with the infinite upside and when she gets pushed by some more talented competition. Also seemed to love to play the game and will bring energy to the game. Baagason also looked good. Looks like she might be uncoordinated, then the game started....very smooth. Great shooter with good fundamentals. Her game is much farther along than Kimbrough's.
  6. It could be one of the few times the #2 seed isn't a huge favorite over the #7 in the North Central. In fact St. Cloud would probably be favored. Sure is different not having the depth in this tournament.
  7. The $11 extra charge was because UND knew they could get those idiots from Fargo to pay that price for the single-game tickets. The UND season ticket holders price stayed the same.
  8. Once again, you must remember that Sioux fans are going to lash out at the womens hockey team because we are constantly being asked to dish out more and more $$$$ each year for FSC memberships, tickets and $3 water at the REA when the women are taking a big chunck and bringing in very little $$$$. It is not their fault though and Sioux fans should support all teams when they (nearly) pull off a game like that. Fans should direct their displeasure with the Athletic Dept and not the teams and/or players over these issues. That was one helluva game for the young program yesterday.
  9. curious1, you are correct that this year and a few of the past years he has had some talent. But what is real scary is next years team, the cupboards are BARE. Only the point looks real strong with Doyle probably starting and Nobles at the two with Harkins and Nobles backing Doyle up. The post is real scary as UNDFan pointed out, nobody is ready and the starters aren't so great themselves.

  11. And that the Sioux women aren't as good or as dominant as past years, but there is surely no one team that I am real afraid of on UND's home court right now, especially being it would have to be the Betty being the hockey team will/should host playoff games next weekend also. I could see them going a long ways right now, but that could change quickly because of the lack of proven depth up front. It would be nice if Sannes caould handle it. Imagine if the Sioux falter this weekend and Moorhead got to host the regional.
  12. This is last week's poll, new men's poll isn't out yet, usually an hour or more after the women' comes online.
  13. North Central 1 North Dakota 16-4 22-5 2 Minnesota State Moorhead 16-5 22-5 3 Regis (Colorado) 20-3 21-6 4 Concordia-St. Paul 15-5 20-7 5 Minnesota Duluth 13-6 19-7 6 Metropolitan State 18-6 21-6 7 St. Cloud State 13-7 19-8 8 Fort Hays State 14-5 21-6 9 Colorado School of Mines 16-8 19-8 10 Southwest Minnesota State 13-8 19-9
  14. That quote even scares me more about Glas, "solid season". Since when is losing 6 out the last 8 a solid season. Yes, Rich that is disappointing and it sticks in our minds too....and your teams do it to us every year. For those those that follow college hockey, doesn't the men's yearly swoon remind you of the St Cloud hockey teams. That is one quote we would never hear from Roebuck or most anyone for that matter.
  15. Yes, I have been here his whole tenure. Yes, I have met the man many times...whatever that has to do with anything. Glas is not even close to the coach Gunther was. Glas had his success with a few leftover Gunther recruits, the luck of Guldseth not being able to handle being away at LSU and North Dakota actually producing 3-4 quality players at one time and also a great asst in McDermott. Since Mac left, Glas has not did a darn thing! Also they each coached in different eras, the quality of teams that Gunther won against was a whole level higher against many teams that are now DI whereas Glas competes(and loses) against Mary, Bemidji St, Concordia-St Paul, Minot St. So, defend the man and his mediocre, underachieving teams all you want, but it would be a shame!
  16. Yes, with the high expectations of a veteran team that only got worse as the season went on (again!), I think most BB fans now know it is the right time. The only reason that the ADept will sell/renew season tix will once again be the womens program. With all the changes going on in the ADept, now is the time to make a change. I have a feeling that if they don't do it now the new AD might give him some slack and a few years to see for himself what is going on. Hopefully Glas goes now so that he doesn't get to pass Gunther next year for all time wins. What a shame that would be!
  17. I wonder if the 24 year-old female is the same one he has been in a relationship with for awhile?
  18. Very disappointing season for Lindahl after he put on some muscle finally and some of the spark he showed 2nd half last year. As much as I didn't care for Brandt, at least he showed some emotion where as Lindahl looks like someone just shot his dog every night. I don't know if Lindahl has it in him to come in and be a senior leader next year...but what do I know, I thought MJ and the other 4 seniors would come through. Instead it seems (I didn't see the Mankato game on Sat.) like they are not even giving a full effort the last half of the year. The USD and Duluth games were absolutely embarrassing.
  19. Adam Jacobsen will be starting for Lindahl tonight in Mankato. Lindahl has shot 29% in the NCC this year.
  20. Maybe the men have a chance in Mankato Tuesday night...could be possible suspensions coming after the UNO-MSUM game for the NCC title Sat night. Emotions got a little high after the 2 OT win by UNO. Possible punches thrown by players...Andy Moeller was the key player involved it sounds like. The NCC will be looking at the video. Maybe RT could help out his former employer out.
  21. Tim thought the leg pain was caused by an injury to the lower back.
  22. In the postgame, it sure didn't sound good for Genoway. Tim said he was on crutches, unable to put weight on one of his legs.
  23. Men up by 4 early in 2nd half.
