  1. Things have gotten really bad in Brookings, they lost by 38 to pretty bad SW Minnesota St on Monday night. SWMS had lost to Mankato by 40, NDSU by 28 and lost to UNO,UMD and USD. Hard to believe they could fall that far, sounds like they have given up for the most part. This is the first year in a long time that UND would dominate them. A couple of their fans even stated on the Jacks board that they are glad they are not in the NCC this year. Don't turn this into D-1 or not D-1 discussion, that has been rehashed a million times...merely stating how a team UND had some great games and a great rivalry with over the years is doing.
  2. Yes he had surgery in ths spring of '04 and didn't do much kicking for most of the summer last year.
  3. Yeah, and he has made a cool million playing in 2 games total, not bad!
  4. The Heat finally let the Beas' go yesterday. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1976201
  5. latet regional rankings 1. Minnesota State Mankato 12-1 18-2 2. Metropolitan State 10-1 15-1 3. Fort Lewis 8-1 13-2 4. North Dakota 11-3 18-4 5. Nebraska-Omaha 8-2 16-3 6. South Dakota 7-3 15-3 7. St. Cloud State 9-3 14-4 8. Northern State 6-3 13-4 9. Colorado Christian 9-3 14-3 10. Colorado School of Mines 7-4 13-4
  6. Roebuck was on the radio with Swygman and Hennessey this morning. He stated that he really didn't know if Mahlum or Maffin would be starting, may vary from game to game, depending on matchups. Sounded very disappointed in Mahlum and said being she hadn't stepped up yet, he probably couldn't count much on her for the rest of the year. He thought her confidence was shot. Also stated that Draayer is done for the season as she is having foot surgery today.
  7. The men finally got votes in the national poll, 29th overall. I think they are 4-1 against teams in the top 25.
  8. The worst that will happen will be to suspend him for a game or two now this weekend and he will be back for the conference /Denver series. Schneider basically only got a game for his, but that was during the summer which is different.
  9. It sure would help the NCC argument though if the ladies would quit losing games to the likes of SW State, a middle of the pack NSIC team. It is quite surprising that the Seattle Pacific women haven't lost since they left GF and are now ranked in the top 3-4 in the country. They looked horrible that night here.
  10. Did anyone see where the Jacks lost to lowly Morningside, a .500 NAIA team. The road to DI is not as glorious as they thought it would be. I realize they lost Moeller because of the move up, but they are horrendous this year.
  11. North Central Region 1. Minnesota State-Mankato (17-1) 2. Metropolitan State (14-0) 3. Fort Lewis (11-2) 4. South Dakota (15-1) 5. North Dakota (16-4) 6. Nebraska-Omaha (15-3) 7. St. Cloud State (14-3) 8. Northern State (12-3) 9. Nebraska-Kearney (11-3) 10. Colorado Christian (12-2)
  12. Found a brand new website, not much yet as it just came up past few weeks. d2basketball.com
  13. Draayer was on the bench, but in a walking boot again....I assume still the same stress fractures.
  14. I think the funniest thing I seen all weekend was at Grandmas Sat night when Beersong was licking beer off the middle of the dance floor. I don't know any of the facts of the ordeal, but it was entertaining.
  15. I noticed that too....Parise made a couple of tremendous saves and he was pitching a shutout at the time! Still, the students were great and made the me wish ONCE AGAIN for the atmosphere of the old Ralph. I hope the DECC stays around for a while as it is one of the few remaining old barns left.
  16. Roebuck obviously feels good about the near future if he is offering to play that team without a conference again in the near future.....he must feel he could give Amy a helluva game even though she will 50% more scholarships.
  17. Roebuck on the radio this morning with Hennessey and Swyg pretty much said he was against the move up. He figures there is no way he would get the same recruits as he does now. The logic being that players like Kimbrough and Decker that were offered full rides by established DI schools like Iowa St and Wisc-Green Bay would not come to lower DI team like UND and take the bigger offer. Whatever level they are at...players want to compete for the playoffs. He thinks the UND women can do better by being a big DII than a lower DI. He also stated that if UND were to move...go all the way with DI-A football and join a conference like Mountain West.
  18. Glas said on the radio this morning he only "tweaked it".
  19. Who's going to watch the Sioux sweep the Dogs at the DECC again? I know I can't wait....should be a blast. Hopefully the weather and roads are ok...sounds llike the forecast is for snow and wind there. Anyone know of anything special going on for Sioux fans or are we all just meeting at the bars (Grandma's I assume is one). I hope the boys play well enough to make the UMD fans chant overrated at their team again....of course the way they have been playing, any ranking would be overrated. It is just fun to see those self-proclaimed great fans acting like idiots and booing their own team 2 weeks into the season after reaching the Frozen Four last year.
  20. I had quite the "fans" sitting next to me on Saturday night too. Two 40ish females who spent the whole night discussing holiday baking and what kind of cookies they were making. They had no clue that Parise was in the nets that night or Massen got hurt. They didn't cheer or have a clue about the game. They spent the whole night talking and annoying everyone else around them. It was just an expensive night of socializing for them.
  21. After seeing the replay a couple of times, it was a horrendous call. DeSautel didn't come down on anybody. If anything happened the Pitt St center came across and got under people. If anyone listened to Lennon Sunday night or this morning on the radio, he says the same thing and when asked on his thoughts...he just says to watch and replay and it will speak for itself.
  22. Any word on Sannes? Draayer has started to get some minutes lately, should be able to help in the rotation later on considering the lack of depth upfront.
  23. I heard that they are trying to get Guinn a medical redshirt. She hurt something in her knee at Mich Tech.
  24. Yes, that inability to get shots off during the last possession has been a dominant trait of Glas teams over the years. And lets not think of the Kearney win as a big one yet as they were missing two suspended starters. It looks like a typical mens team.....can play and beat anyone in the country and can also look like a D3 team that hasn't played together before.
  25. Yeah, no doubt doubt the count hit 10,000+.....the Bison pad their counts by 5-7,000, UND subtract 2-3,000!
