Georgia currently has 2 kids playing in college. http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/7Archiv...tesall_0512.htm

http://ne.cn8.tv/shared/video/cn8NE-winmedia.asx Running through VLC or RealPlayer seems to help the quality, and they're both running real time.
-
Figured it out, didn't matter, quality still bad
-
You mean Jordan (and Zach) Pair es say?
-
Same guy who couldn't pronounce Parise, even after constant instruction from Melrose?
-
Just posted this under the TV thread, but anyway to get the feed to go through RealPlayer instead of Windows Media Player. Did the CN8 guy just say Oshie was a walk on last year?
-
Using Firefox, the quality is poor, using Internet Explorer, the feed goes through Windows Media Player, quality better, but still poor. Anyway to get the feed to go through Real Player? GO SIOUX!

I literally said "WOW" when MTU scored that second goal. Could have made Sports Center top 10. I agree with Redwing, "THERE WAS NOTHING ANY GOALTENDER COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THIS GOAL." If anyone has it recorded, it'd be nice to see it again on youtube, even though it was made off our guys.

I couldn't make myself turn on the post game, I just wanted it to be over. I'm glad that I didn't realize until this morning that the Sioux may have been entitled to a penalty shot last night. I was so disgusted with last night's (actually all of last month) game, that I caught myself shaking my head about every 5 minutes from when the game ended until about 2 am last night. If I had known of the once again not called penalty shot last night, it might have been more than I could take. Now I've got to go back to my previous post, and delete the part of the post where I was patting Shepherd on his back.

Oh, I didn't realize that that was what was going on at the end of the game. The Ralph really should show replays. I know that they're not allowed to, but they should. I know that's a poor argument for replays, but that's how I'm rollin this morning. Well, I take back what I said about Shepherd then. Oh yeah,,,, were the Sioux just swept this weekend by Michegan Tech? WT*

If Hackstol way trying to boost Lammy's confidence by trying to make him the savior in Sats game, I don't think he was counting on about 3000 fans booing. That had to be humiliating for Lammy. Even if everyone was booing Hackstol, I'm not real sure that it came off that way. BTW, the goal that Jimmy Kerr scored, WOW!

I have a friend that has been an occasional spokesman for the changing of the UND Fighting Sioux name. Today we were talking about the sparse turnout for the Winona-UND game. He honestly thought the low turnout was a because of the injuction that was ruled on last week. I told him that was a bunch of BS, and we didn't really get into it. Is it possible that I'm out of touch with UND football fans (I am a Bison alum, haven't been to a UND fb game for several years, but am a hockey season ticket holder), and the low turnout was in fact caused by people being unhappy with the injunction?

Why is the time stamp 2 hours fast? I'm sure that this has already been discussed, but am too lazy to go back through the thread to find out.

Woke up this morning and was a lot surprised to see the Sioux had lost 6-2. WOW! Was even more surprised to see via the USCHO box score that Aaron Walski scored the first goal. So, I read through this thread this morning to see how Walski had scored the first goal (even more amazing is that he didn't see the ice until the 2nd period). All I found was that it was Watkins with the first goal, and a bunch of posters just trying to one-up each other. The funniest thing was sioux17 trying to find out where to find the web feed. He must have asked about four times until finally someone gave him an answer. Everyone must have thought that one more user on the server would have crashed it?

I know the poor reffing has already been covered, but 29 penalties called in one night? Maybe the crew was being paid strictly on commision last night? It's too bad that on the night that Hrkac was honored (kind of saw the night as a passing of the torch between the Hrkac line and the TOD line (almost 20 years later)) the team ended up playing like **** (rhymes with schitt). That being said, I'm sure that Friday night's team, and the team we see tonight will be two totally different teams. LOL. I was proofing what I had written, and I had originally typed "poop reffing." Freudian slip?

HockyMom, do you have seats in 306, about row g or h, seat 9 or 10?

I didn't get the VV call when it happened (I saw it, but thought there was no possible way they could call it). I don't think there was a call initially when the "penalty" happened. Then there was a penalty ( a second penalty) called while the Maine guy was laying on the ice. Apparently, all FOUR refs missed the VV "penalty, and had to take 3 minutes to review the tape to see what happened (thought they'd come back and call "robbie earling"), and they stilll got it wrong. Live, it looked like a clean hit. In slow motion, about 10 feet from the check, VV realized if he might get a checking from behind if he didn't ease up. Then the Maine guy turned toward VV, and VV ended up checking the Maine player from the side (if not almost face to face, definitely wasn't from behind). It's funny (not ha ha) that the Maine announcers thought that UND were being too physical, definitely didn't see that from my seat. Best news of the year about changes to REA, they started serving Boulevard (and sam adams) this year. Stand set up between the two escalators on the south side of the building. No more s(h)itty miller lite for me. All in all, siouw were flat in the second period. Can't blame Lammy. Would have been nice to see Tony in goal after the game got out of hand though. Don Adams makes D Shepard look like a pro. Every time he comes up here you hear chants of "we want Shephard." There's got to be better refs out there?
-
Yeah, there was another Shepherd listed as an AR for the Maine-Gophs game. Brad, I think?
-
Young Guns. Love it! The Kid, Doc, and Chavez. Who's who? Toews being the youngest has to be "The Kid" (although all three are lethal with the puck, really Duncan should be The Kid, he loves shooting the puck. But I've made up my mind, Toews is The Kid) TJ can be Chavez because he's Native. That leaves Duncan with being Doc. Oh yeah, The Don can be Murphy, which makes the Goofs, Murphy's boys.
-
This probably doesn't warrant it's own thread...I noticed that Derek Shepherd was listed as an asst. referee for the Maine vs. Minnesota game. Will we no longer hear chants at the Ralph of "f*#@ you Shepherd ?"
-
The following goes without saying that it's all hypothetical...If not for loosing to St. Cloud in the Final 5 semi final game, and trying to mail in the Holy Cross game (man, talk about good memories, two consecutive priceless weekends), Minnesota would have only been 500 against the Sioux last year (including losing to the Sioux the only game that mattered).
-
I'd be surprised if he's not a finalist. Even though he'll only be a soph., there's no way he won't be sitting in the front row at the HB ceremony. Unfortunately for him and Toews, they'll be sitting right next to each other, and again, two deserving Hobey winners will be splitting the vote to make way for a Hockey East finalist to take home the award. This of course is only preseason speculation ...But I will take even money on this... While I'm make preseason predictions, Oshie, Toews, and Duncan will up their production from 120 points, to 170 points, with (this is the big prediction) Duncan having 1/3+ of those points. LETS GO SIOUX!

According to collegehockeynews, #27 is still taken be Smaby. How nice would that be?

UND President Charles Kupchella sent an open letter to the NCAA last week saying that "[T]he policy you have instituted is illegitimate and ... has been applied to the University of North Dakota in an unfair, arbitrary, capricious, fundamentally irrational, and harmful manner."
