What? Sure, I'll be watching at BW3's in Bemidji.

This may be a little far fetched, but has or would or could a team that's a "lock" for the tourney take a night off and make life easier for their conference mate? For example, WI lets off the gas for OSU?

It's for the SCSU/MIA game.

WANTED: Four Saturday UND/WMU tickets

Still looking. Thanks! -
Looking for four LL tickets for Saturday UND/WMU game. Please PM.

I respect Roseau for playing up in AA more than Warroad for playing A (and playing some AA teams). Regardless I'll always cheer for northern MN teams over 1) metro teams and 2) certainly over private schools. Northern MN HS teams have challenges for 1) losing top players to USHL and 2) don't have the depth to recover from losing top players.

I'd beg to differ on Warroad. Hockeytown USA is pretty well known to bring in talent (especially when there happens to be a family member on the roster). I've also seen ads in Let's Play Hockey recruiting families to move to TRF for Digi Key - and hockey - opportunities.

BSU was able to hold UND to the perimeter. It was the best game I've seen Walsh play, but he didn't have to stand on his head - he was just very well positioned for the perimeter shots. Most shots he had good looks. No question the Sioux controlled play about 70% of the time with BSU having a good second period. It was frustrating watching the Sioux control play but not being able finish.

Out with a lower body injury. Walsh has been solid.

Ice is still soft. High school used to play there and complained about the ice - same as other teams.

The first year of the Sanford/WCHA, most games were full. Year two, only the Gopher series was full and decent (maybe 3/4 full) crowds for DU, UNO, SCSU and UMD. This year, it's about 1/2 full for the likes of Lake Superior, Alaska, Mankato, etc. It get's very stale in the building for a lot of series with light crowds and there hasn't been much to cheer about lately on home ice.

Goon's comparison is true. It's a nice rink but they didn't make the bowl steep enough and the advertising banners scattered around kinda cheapen it up. It's a great asset for Bemidji and definitely one of the nicer college barns. Tap beers are generally $5, and they have premium beers and a mixed drink station. With the first expected full house in quite some time, they'll probably jack up the concession prices . . .

Nike continues its destruction of Olympic hockey
Upper Deck replied to MafiaMan's topic in Non-collegiate sports
These look like 1980's leftover peewee B jerseys that are sitting under piles of old jerseys in the back corner of the storage room at the old rink in town that isn't used for hockey anymore. -
Wanted: 4 LL tickets for Friday or Saturday vs SCSU. Please PM.

Wanted: four lower level tickets vs UMD for 11/15 or 11/16. Please PM.

Tough to type, but I think it's a bad hockey weekend for my favorite squads: Sioux get swept at Miami (5-3 and 3-2) and Gophs sweep Bemidji (5-2 and 4-2). Oh well, it's better than no hockey.
