Anyone noticing anything in particular about either team on how they're playing tonight and how that would translate to tomorrow's game vs the Sioux?

Mafia Man had a funny quote this AM: A friend of mine once asked me how bad I hate the Gophers. I feel the same way. Even if it helped the Sioux or saved the lives of puppies and babies, I still don't think I could cheer for the %*&$ ^@#$ Gophers

I agree. At least the UND/NDSU bill wouldn't crush four D1 hockey programs. There hasn't been a hearing on this and I hope there will never be one. I mean I already hate Gopher hockey . . .

So we had three scouts there . . . I thought they would give the Beavs a little more of a challenge, especially on Saturday. No one stuck out for me either. There were five "real" scouts there over the weekend.

While the rest of college hockey has important series with playoff implications this weekend . . . Bemidji State hosts the US U18. Since I haven't been able to find ND/CC tickets, I'll be watching Sioux games in the afternoon and Nick Mattson at night.

I've seen tickets for Sunday on the underground.und.edu website.

I grew up in Grafton in the 70's, 80's and early 09's and went to quite a few games growing up. My mom used to pack up me and my buddies up in the wagon, drop us off at the Old Ralph and she'd go study at the law library. Later, I went to college in South Dakota, but my cousin was at UND, so I used to be able to sneak into games with his buddies. Good times. Then I was down in Mpls for 10 years and my love for the Sioux and the dislike for the UMtc grew and grew. Now, up in Bemidji, it's an easy two hour drive to GF and we get the FSSN channel. I voted for the "small town - prominent program" just because of living in Mpls and gagging on the Gopher PR train, but could have voted for about every other choice, too. Lets Go Sioux!!!
