  1. Plan on going to see UND/UMD in December. What side of the rink do the Sioux shoot twice at (section 1 or 28) and is it better to be lower, middle or hight up in the balcony? Thanks!
  2. UND opens BSU's new barn in 2010. Serratore said that UND has been a good friend of the program. The WCHA is also incorporating a new travel partner program. Story.
  3. Here's a link to what RBK has done for new 2009 jerseys in the CHL. Click on the Portland Winterhawks . . .
  4. They could make you do what the Vikes do for rival games and make you buy a ticket to the Manitoba game in order to purchase a UMtc, UW or DU ticket. I understand the economics of the higher dollar rival tickets - the way it goes for the sports fans.
  5. I was told that BSU wants UND to be their first game in the BREC because they have helped them out so much. Hopefully the scheduling allows that
  6. According to twitter.com/QuickFacts both teams start their WCHA league play in 2010-11 season. Now I wonder who's the new rivals?
  7. Good day for BSU, UNO and college hockey in general. The next "logical" step would be for the CCHA to accept Huntsville . . . right?
  8. Well said. I don't like Puffy as a UMtc fan, but it's sad to see a person go through tough times like this. Hopefully he gets better and we can love to hate him again.
  9. Looks as though the Sioux might as well go on hiatus next year . . .
  10. Bemidji Pioneer article with BSU's opinion.
  11. I recently had lunch with a rep from BSU. They are hoping for/expecting a vote with "some type" of WCHA membership. They understand that 11 teams isn't ideal, but they have been following the WCHA guidelines and have met all of their criteria. Hopefully the WCHA will see the forest through the trees regarding BSU's situation and will compromise some sort of membership, perhaps even a short-term affiliate membership, status for them. That is what BSU is expecting.
  12. Per Brian Schultz/Beaver Pond, BSU So. Goalie Matt Dalton signed with Boston yesterday. BSU now has one goalie on the roster, Fr. Bakala, who played one game this year. They have Mattieu Dugas from the NAHL coming in. Congrats to Dalton, I hope he got a nice bonus and he had a great year for BSU.

    Blais

Sorry . . but as we know, Blaiser used to coach a college hockey team , but we know the Wild do not associate with college hockey . . . . thus, no Blaiser in St. Paul.
  14. Lasch Synonym: Earle/You'll break your neck if you Earle into shallow water.
  15. Article from the Commissioner's visit here yesterday. No new news on that front . . . If you go to the front page of the Pioneer website, there's articles about the BREC groundbreaking, Virg has a commentary and there's a bunch of photos.
  16. There's (finally) some new updates to the BREC website including some new renditions of the inside. There's a "slight" error regarding the blue line and center colors . . . but it looks good none-the-less.
  17. While it's somewhat always a struggle to get quality BSU wear in Bemidji . . . not so easy now to say the least. Mostly cheesy, screen printed, circa 1980's type designs and clothing . . . with a few exceptions - which are only now available in smalls and mediums. Sioux fans are lucky to have the Sioux Shop, Scheels, the (former) bookstore by the Ralph and online options.
  18. Very cool news!!! Obviously helps and solidifies a young blue line next year.
  19. Did you hear that North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin want out of the WCHA and into the CHA?
  20. The WCHA committee is in town on Friday for the BREC groundbreaking, meeting and a rally on campus. I would expect a great turnout and obviously, BSU is joyful with the timing and FF. Hopefully team 12 steps forward and makes it easier. Who knows what conversations are actually occurring between potential schools and the WCHA.
  21. Amen, brotha. Time for Dougie and "No Doubt" to go on their merry way. Time for some new blood and - hopefully - some entertaining hockey.
