  1. I have a 3 year old son... he'll be able to play for the Sioux around the the year 2020. If he isn't good enough to make the squad, Coach Jeff Panzer should cut his ass. Bottom line is I am a Sioux hockey fan...if a kid isn't good enough to make the team I totally respect the coaches decision. The Sioux program didn't get where it's at by giving breaks to kids...you have to earn it. PS-Tried to get my boy on skates this past winter, he says the ice is too slippery.
  2. I agree.
  3. Yes he did...due to the headaches...he has now gotten clearance from his doctor to play hockey.
  4. Jesse Lindenberg from Grafton is going to get a good luck from the Sioux. Last year Jesse was doing very well in his tryout with the Sioux when he had bouts with migrane headaches. Jesse played for Steve Johnson in Lincoln... Steve really liked Jesse...he has talked with Coach Hakstol and it looks like Hak will give Jesse a good look. Jesse hasn't had migranes since last October...hopefully things work out for him...he's a very good kid.
  5. I do really like living in Fargo, but thank God for Fighting Sioux Hockey.
  6. Craig Ludwig walked on with the Sioux in 1979...played 3 years and left early to play with the Montreal Candiens. He was part of 2 National Championship teams...1980 & 1982...so you never know. I can't remember if he had any other offers from other schools, but I'm pretty sure he did. I remember talking to him his first year at UND and he said he just wanted to play for the Sioux.
  7. Yes Federov it does give away who wins...I love the the Sioux-Gopher DVD...the Pioneer-Sioux not so much...even though the Sioux certainly didn't lay in egg... they played pretty damn good. I had a guy from Minneapolis call me at work the monday after the National Championship game...he said it looked like your team got beat pretty bad...he had only watched the last 2 minutes of the game. I didn't want to conduct any business with him that day.
  8. Got your DVD's yesterday...they're very good...especially like the cover and recap of the scoring with the times of the goals on the back...very well done...thanks again amn5hol.
  9. Duey... I think your just misunderstood...us Sioux fans just can't understand how someone like you thinks...it's totally our fault...I think.
  10. My bad Fedorov...I'm not usually a commuity player...I'll have to broaden my horizons.
  11. Gino Gasparini was on TV last night talking about bringing the USHL back to Fargo. Gino is now President of the USHL, so I would imagine he has a lot to say with what goes on in the league. For those that don't know, next week there's a vote on a big development in downtown Fargo that would include a new hockey arena. Obviously Gino was trying to promote the arena to get people to vote yes on the new development. I know Fargo hasn't taken to hockey like I wished they had through the years, but hopefully next week people around here will realize that there won't be too many more opportunities like this. God knows Fargo-Moorhead has had their chances having coaches such as Scott Sandelin, Steve Johnson...players like Jeff Panzer, Karl Goehring, Andy Kollar, Andy Rierson, Tyler Arnason and many more. I think it's still a long shot, but hopefully the vote May 3rd will be a positive vote to the new development in downtown Fargo.
  12. What a terrific photo...talk about a game of inches. I agree that the right call was made...just wish Fabian could have arm wrestled Mannino to determine if it was a goal or not.

This year the Sioux have taken the lead in THEE team that has been in the most National Championship games...12...with a 7-5 record... which by some stange coincidence is the same advantage the Sioux have over the Gophers 7>5.

Hard to believe that NDSU has missed the boat so many times when it comes to hockey. I remember back in the late 80's when there was quite a bit of talk about hockey at Bisonville, then again a couple times in the 90's. If they would have done something back then it would be interesting to see where they'd be today. I understand that going D1 was important to NDSU, but living in Fargo and following what goes on with the program I still don't get it. I think the D1 sport that the Bison haven't got involved with(hockey), is probably the best sport in our part of the country. Living in Fargo with no D1 hockey, makes me appreciate Sioux Hockey that much more.
  17. We have a suite in the SW corner of the Ralph where the Sioux shoot twice, I personally would love to have the life of the Student Section in front of us. I think everyone agrees the games can get a little stale at times...the Student Section is a very valuable part of Sioux hockey and can lift the crowd & the players when they need it. I know most of the people at the Frozen Four were probably the more avid Sioux fans, but wouldn't it be great to get 11,000+ fans at the Ralph into the games like the couple thousand that were in Columbus did? It was great to see all the people...young & old... enjoying Sioux hockey as much as I do.
  18. I'd have to say Travis Zajak's shorthanded goal in the 3rd period of the Minnesota NCAA semi-final game. The goal at the time gave the Sioux a 4-0 lead and seemed to be the nail in the coffin. I remember jumping around like I'd just won the lottery.
  19. I picked 2nd, but would be happy with 1st.
