Contrived logo controversy...if that doesn't hit the nail on the head.

Without a doubt, Maturi has no spine. Very good article by Katherine Kersten.
  3. The FIGHTING SIOUX name should definetly stay. My wife and I are having our basement done in Sioux colors with a lot of cool Sioux stuff. We live in Fargo, so all my Bison friends are welcome...yes I have a lot of Bison friends.
  4. Thanks PCM...always great reading.

I think there are a lot more people on the other side of the issue, they won't donate if we don't put up a fight against the PCers.

    DII Polls

Looks like the Sioux have something to play for...should be a great game.
  7. I remember how frustrating that call was back in April. I'm sure Pat would have liked putting something about the penalty in the article, he obviously made the right decision by not. It certainly is great having Big Joe, TJ, Ryan & Taylor back with the Sioux... great article PCM.

    Goophs vs Bison ?

Gabe01...since you probably don't know this, the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey team is ranked #1 in the Nation in Division 1 hockey.

    Goophs vs Bison ?

I think SOONERbeaSiouxfan explains it quite well...all the facts are there. If you were in Vegas you'd play the better odds...as big as the UND-NDSU rivalry is, the bottom line is how far you can advance at the end of the year(playoffs). I certainly understand NDSU's postition, they are playing hard ball and are going to make it as miserable for UND at the beginning of it's transition as they can.
  10. I think this is a very good post. I am a Sioux fan, but the Bison would be the favorites in Vegas simply because of Steve Walker...the guy is very cool under pressure. I know talking smack is part of the UND-NDSU rivalry, but both football programs should be very proud of the success they are enjoying this year. Both schools are undefeated so far this year and both very well could run the table. It would be pretty cool to have both UND and NDSU have undefeated seasons...if one has to lose though, I hope it's the Bison.
  11. Then we have Division 1 hockey to look forward to from October to April. To say all we Sioux fans have to do is "compare scores because that's all you got" is far from the truth.
  12. Do they service the Fargo area? We have Directv and obviously can't pick up the games on FSSN. I'd like to get something done before the hockey season starts.
  13. Today sure takes away some of the pain of last Thursday.
  14. Don't forget about Taylor Chorney...he's a HUGE part of next years team.
  15. Fantastic News...Ryan & Taylor, thanks for your dedication to the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux.
  16. Too bad the Nerd Herd doesn't have the guts to play hockey.
  17. Nice find PCM. An actual story that supports President Kupchella and the majority on this issue.
  18. I went to more that he did start.
  19. With what Underdog said, I'd agree with Goon on this one...a true Sioux fan knows this team gave it all. To make those types of comments on Hakstol is absurd. I made some comments earlier today on this thread about the officiating...I know Hakstol can't, but I will. These kids work their ass off all season long...it just frustrates me when a kid makes a good check and gets called for it at such a critical time...this is hockey, it's a physical sport.
  20. I agree that Kaip had his man and Finley should have backed off...but Finley did put a good check on the BC player, it's hard to fault him for that. I think Joe's biggest problem on that play is that he is too big and the BC player is too small. There is 4 minutes to play in a tie game to go to the National Championship game...you don't call a penalty on that play.
  21. Great job Ryan Duncan...you represented the University of North Dakota with class and your humble response after you won was very refreshing.
  22. I've had a few days to think about the Sioux loss last Thursday. I watched the game again on Saturday. I've obviously watched the Finley penalty on this thread. We had some people over at our house on Thursday night, after TJ's shorthanded goal to tie it at 3 we were all high fivin and momentum seemed to be on our side. We still will be shorthanded for a little bit, but when they call the elbowing(horrible call) on Finley it just shifted the game back to Boston College. Now it's a 5 on 3 and Boston College takes advantage of the sitution they were given by the officials...I know they scored on a 5 on 4, but Porter is just getting out of the penaly box and didn't have a chance to get back on the play. I really don't like to blame refs for a game, but this was without question a horrible call.
  23. Marc is an avid Sioux hockey fan, besides being one of the best players to play for the Sioux. I'm sure he'll explain to Taylor how important your college days are and that there will be plenty of time for pro hockey...developing your skills at UND another year certainly makes you a better player.
