Got back from Tampa last night and now back to work this morning (ugh!), with a very hoarse voice (along with many I might presume). Getting back on track here, the Sioux were a lot of fun to watch this year and thank you for finally bringing home the championship that we all here believe has been long overdue. Being in Tampa, I'd like to comment on a few things: 1) Tampa is an awesome site for the Frozen Four. The city did a great job in rolling out the red carpet. Much better than Boston, and from some of the other Frozen Fours that I've been able to attend. Every hotel had a representative answering questions, and the venue outside the arena was amazing and fun. 2) Denver Fans are just assholes 3). Boston fans are assholes on steroids. 4) Quinnipiac fans were amazingly graceful - thank you. I can only hope we acted as such in the past. Thank you Fighting Sioux for a very exciting year to be remembered for a life time.

Sitting at the bar at the Embassy Suites in Tampa last night and a bunch of BC fans said they were going to cheer on North Dakota, as they "own us". I'm not sure if I'm more upset they said this with a bunch of Sioux fans in the area, or that fact that it is partially true. Either way, we need to come out ready... all factors..goalie, heavy line and CBS playing their A game, No hot goalie, no biased refs, and please get the puck between and not on, the pipes.

I was at the game in '11. UND outplayed them, but once Michigan got the lead they clogged the lanes, played only defense, and didn't let much of anything near the goal. But that was then, and this is now. Payback time.

I agree; however I didn't have to sleep on it. For those that are supporting the new nickname, that's great. For those of us that are detractors of the name, we still support and love our University of North Dakota, but just have been fed up with this "unbiased" process and think the new name is lame. To put it simply: "I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything that says Fighting Hawks as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed that says Fighting Hawks. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that......."

"Here's your University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks SCORING!..." yeah, that's sounds pretty lame. (I would say gay, but that's not too PC these days. As then we would need a committee to determine a more appropriate derogatory word to describe this debacle of an unbiased process).

Because a committee member would otherwise come out and say they were forced into choosing these 5 names or rather forced to leave UND off the ballot.....RIGHT??
