  1. I don't know about hanging a sign. In Denver, I had an usher almost take my flag away from me. He said NC$$ rules are that any sign/flag must be held by only one person. I had a pop in one hand, a corner of the flag in the other and the other corner was held by the person sitting next to me. I had him hold my pop and showed him I could hold the flag, extended to it's full glory, all by myself. He let me keep my flag.
  2. I ditto that. He's a nice kid and a great talent with maybe some growing up to do.
  3. The lady that will be making the t-shirts has a contract which gives her permission to use the logo.
  4. I will! I'm going to see the lady tomorrow about having some made for family and friends. PM me your email address and I'll get back to you as soon as I get it all set.
  5. We wanted five also, so my sons and I all put in for tickets hoping to get at least two sets . We got 3 sets (12 tickets) with 8 side by side! THIS IS THE YEAR!!! Sold the extras at face value to another Sioux fan. I didn't want to piss off the Hockey Gods due to greed
  6. Please send it to me, too! I'm going to put it on on T-shirts and we'll wear them during the UMD/UND game. Ill also put them it on a sign.
  7. You had a baby!!! I got 12 tickets via the lottery and Sioux fans will be sitting in all 12!! My two sons, daughter in law, son's girl friend and I will be in section 226!!
  8. Thanks Dave!! I met some great Irish fans in Denver and hope to meet more. Maybe, soon, welcome back to the WCHA? LOL Good Luck! GO SIOUX!!!
  9. That sounds good. Karen just replied to my PM about the other resturant and she said she loved it but all the veggies were not good for Rob's digestive system. Damn, who would have thought I'd have a kid old enough to worry about his digestive system. Go figure!!
  10. Thank you. It's good to have options. She may already know these places but because the rest of us are meat eaters she doesn't suggest going to a vegan resturant. It will be nice to be able to suggest going to one.
  11. I'll contribute $20 to the cause!
  12. I hope it's also prophetic!!
  13. My daughtet in law is a vegan. The rest of us are carnivors. Any resturant recommendations with a good menu for both would be greatly appreciated! She's a good sport but usually has little or nothing to eat when we go out. They live in Mpls and have taken me to an Indian resturant but I'm not a fan of Indian food.
  14. Being in Green Bay and celebrating afterward which caused him to oversleep?!?
  15. Keys Resturant on Roberts St. in St. Paul has a fantastic breakfast, large portions and reasonable prices. I've not eaten any other meal there and have not eaten at any of the other Key Resturants. If you're looking for a shiny, new Perkins style kitchen, this ain't it. It's actually dumpy looking but I wouldn't miss it!
  16. I contacted the photographer for permission to use his picture and he replied, "Go for it." He's also going to make it a higher resolution for me. He hopes it makes the telecast!! So do I!! Just noticed your user name! Are you perhaps the photographer?
  17. Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, a short walk to the X. Reserved and paid for it July 2010!
  18. Frank wrote a letter that went 'viral' because he made it so. I'm certain that many other alumni wrote letters to Faison, etc, that expressed the same sentiments. I think it's great that Capt. Burggraf wrorte that letter. I believe testimony given by Spirit Lake NA, UND alumni who are proud of the name and logo carry's more weight than his letter, at least it should. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate his letter and believe everyone who has a strong opinion about the issue should bbe heard INCLUDING the people of the Standing Rock reservation.

    HELP

I don't know what to tell you except get yourself to a sports bar, NOW!! I'm stuck at work in NE IA and am relying on SS.com Hurry up, get going!
  20. Well, unless one is independently wealthy, the majority of us can't afford to work for free. The pay one gets working on a rez is significantly less than one gets in the private sector. Pretty altruistic in my opinion. But, enough, I'm done with the 'help NAs because.....' When the NC$$ treats us the same as they do the institutions that can use a NA name and logo or they require all NC$$ participating institutions to retire their NA name and logo, I will respect their decision.
  21. Not going to discuss this issue again just because YOU don't remember the issue being discussed. You weren't here as evidenced by your sign on date, unless, of course, you're one of the 'banned' and are here with a new moniker? Go back to the posts from years past to read the posts responding to 'no one helps the Natives with any of their problems'. Proof of non-natives helping Natives? Go to any reservation and see who the health care providers and teachers are. I have worked on two reservations and one Alaskan native village and the teachers, docs, PAs, and NPs are by far NOT NA. The majority have been working for the IHS for many years so don't bother with you 'just there to pay back their student loans'. And the majority are top notch educators and health care providers, not bottom of the barrel rejects. Enough of your trolling, get back to the issues which are the Sioux name and logo and letting the SR people vote!
