This is fantastic news. Does anyone know how often a D-Man has won it in the past? In most other leagues including the NHL it is a rare feat.

Some young players think they are bigger than the game or the team itself and I think it was part of the problem with Vanek. It has gotten so bad that some even think they are worthy of their own press call or conference before they even play a single game. I am glad that we haven't seen this disturbing trend creep into the Sioux dressing room yet, and that despite the hype that could have been generated the Toews family has done their best to keep their son's decision low key. The Parise's were no different.

Problem is, as a small town Saskatchewan boy I doubt he has the bucks to attend UND on his own. Someone will likely pick him but keep in mind that many have also compared him to Fatty Fournier so quite possibly his game has peaked this season and it could be all downhill from here.

Actually it would be better if Cornell or Harvard win the tournament because they are probably going to make the NCAA anyway. Better that Dartmouth drop off the radar screen altogether where they belong. If they lose tonight their season is likely over.

I doubt todays games will have any impact on the Sioux. In fact the only team that stands to lose more ground is Dartmouth if they lose.
