I agree with the split and I am even hoping that the large ice surface will enable the Sioux talent to really come through offensively. It would have been nice to have Sparky but maybe this will be a big weekend for Watkins.
Now that it has been established as a medical condition vice an attitude problem, which it should have been 6+ months ago, nothing more should be said of Hirsch on this site other than to wish him a speedy and successful recovery.
Nothing has changed about his play as in the two games against Maine he had 3 penalties for a total of 17 minutes. I don't know the details other than that he had 0 points and was -1 for the weekend. I believe he will have the attention of the officials this season and will be a detriment to the Pies. I only hope he doesn't take out another Sioux player next weekend.
A hand injury they say. Does this mean they have started punching the walls earlier this season. Old Lucy must be messing with their fragile Gopher psyche again.
In further support of the fact that Sioux players don't get the national recognition they deserve just take a look at the All-USCHO teams

How does a sieve like Schneider (recall the Sioux rout of BC and his play a the World Juniors) get consideration over a Jordan Parise or several other goaltenders in the NCAA for that matter.
