Regarding the Big Sky tourney, I'm not sure how well a neutral site would work given the expansive geography of the league. I think it works well with the current format. Additionally, basketball is, at best, the #2 sport at every single Big Sky school except for Weber. By comparison, basketball is the #1 sport at every single Summit school except for NDSU and now Denver. So a comparison between the emphasis placed on the conference tournament in each league is really apples to oranges. The Summit has a good thing going with its set up in Sioux Falls. In the case of Big Sky basketball, the best attendance numbers are going to come when the tournament is held at the site of the regular season champion, even if that means short notice. I think it is more likely to draw 6,000+ in Ogden or Missoula, perhaps even Grand Forks one day, on a week's notice than it is to expect fans to buy tix in advance in good faith if it were held at a neutral site like Las Vegas, Denver, or Phoenix.

I don't know about all this Big Sky to FBS talk. What I do know is that I love the fact that North Dakota is in the Big Sky. Another thing I know is that of 6 former NCC schools that are now DI, 5 of them tried to get into the Big Sky at one point or another, UNO being the exception. A couple institutions tried multiple times to no avail. That tells me that the Big Sky apparently has a level of attractiveness that fans of a certain school don't like to acknowledge.

SAC smoked UNC tonight. Puts the Bears just a game ahead of us and the rest of the 9-7 teams for second place. SAC is playing well of late.

Played quite well from wire to wire. Good win that was sorely needed. Do it again on Thursday.

I like the optimism, but pretty hard for me to be confident in picking this team to win any game at this point.

Why does NDSU have a seperate AD to hire and manage the women's sports? I know we have a Senior Women's Administrator, but our actual AD does the hiring and firing when it comes to womens basketball, volleyball, hockey, etc...............

Northern Colorado is making things interesting for Weber. Weber has lost two in a row, while UNC has won 3 straight. The Bears are just one game back in the standings. I'd say UNC has a slightly easier schedule to finish the season, as the still have SUU to play. A couple weeks ago it was a foregone conclusion that the conference tourney would be in Ogden. Not so set in stone at this point.

Did Hooker even play the second half? Huff and Anderson really struggled tonight....

In other Big Sky action that features two fundamentally sound teams, the Griz are up by 10 on Weber. Would be beneficial to us for Weber to win that game.....
