  1. Needed the TD when you get inside the 10. Still a good drive at a good time. Just what the defense needed....
  2. That ref that missed the facemask on Santiago is the same one that didn't call pass interference when Santiago was tackled in the end zone right in front of him a few weeks ago
  3. The fumbles are ridicuolous
  4. Our offense needs a lesson in ball security. They put it on the turf alot. Fumbles on back to back possessions
  5. Through the first four games last year, Joe completed 45% of his passes and had 2 TD to go with 4 INT. They stuck with him, and he started the next 4 games and played pretty well until he got hurt. Just sayin'.......
  6. I'd like to see a screen pass once in a while. Other than that, I like the general philosophy of the offense. We just have absolutely no talent at WR, and the O-Line has been inconsistent, but better the last few weeks. Give me a bubble screen, Rudolph.................
  7. Pretty hard for me to speculate as to why Bartels is ahead of Mollberg on the depth chart since I'm not close to the program and don't go to the practices to see what is going on. Maybe Bubba just feels it's best to stick with one guy rather than going back and forth and having a player on a short leash. Let's be honest, Mollberg was the starter when the 2014 season began, and he was pretty awful in the first 4 games. In fact I'm pretty sure a lot of people were clamoring for Bartels halfway through the Missouri St. game last year. The staff had to be pretty loyal and patient with Mollberg then and his play was pretty unimpressive until Big Sky play started. They have been pretty patient with Studsrud too. They were winning while he was in there so it was easier to overlook his shortcomings. Maybe that is what they are doing with Bartels now. Mollberg seems a little injury prone too. Read or saw something recently that he was a little dinged up in fall camp, unrelated to the Achilles. Of course he had the unfortunate Achilles injury last season. Didn't he have a bad wheel or something coming out of high school too, and that was part of why some of the FBS schools passed on him?
  8. I rarely listen to either station, although I sometimes enjoy Jay Thomas. Since Midwest Media bought KFGO, both Sandy Butweiler and Mike McFeely have left for WDAY. Reminds me of about 10 years ago when Clear Channel bought KFGO and there was a mass exodus of talent migrating from KFGO to WDAY.
  9. Way off topic now. Take it somewhere else......
  10. This is the best thread in the history of the interwebs. Kudos to you Cratter. What are the OT rules? A sudden death shootout amongst kickers?
  11. Bottom 1/3 of the league. A .500 record would really exceed my expectations. I really hope I am wrong.
  12. It sure is nice to have Santiago in the fold as a true home-run hitter again. Here's to hoping that his career turns out better than our last two big threat running backs, Josh Murray and Ryan Chappell.
  13. UND 27, UM 14 after 3 quarters. UND 27, UM 31.............Final.
  14. I just voted NoDaks. I've been leaning Roughriders the whole time, but the wife persuaded me otherwise. I'm good with NoDaks, Roughriders, or Fighting Hawks.
  15. That play reminded me of one of the first throws Bartles made when he came into the ISU game. Clearly miscommunication between QB and WR.
  16. Since this game is on Root, it will not be online on eversport.....
  17. Studsrud listed as doubtful, Greely and Butler are out.....
  18. Yeah, regardless of who the QB is, the key as it is every week is going to be to esestablish the run and keep the Montana offense off the field. Our defense has gone from being out biggest strengths to our biggest liability in just a couple of weeks.
  19. I see. I thought the inference was that Mollberg should get a shot regardless of injuries.
  20. Griz don't appear to be world beaters right now, and I think they are on their 3rd string QB. But just like ISU, they are a horrible matchup and it will be a challenging environment. Would feel a lot better about it if I knew either Reyes or Studsrud were available.
  21. Um, there is already a QB on the roster that has proven he can win games for us.
  22. Like it or not, the "hockey only" UND fan vs. the "all sports" UND fan is a dynamic that certainly exists. It always has and it probably always will. The divide grew exponentially 7 or 8 years ago when UND was looking for a conference home for all of its off-ice sports. The nickname issue came under more scrutiny and for some reason, a vocal portion of the fan base layed part of the blame for the loss of the nickname at the feet of the football, basketball, volleyball, and all the rest of the sports. I've heard on numerous occaisons over the years both in person and on this board, usually after a bad loss by either the football or basketball team, comments to the effect of, "we gave up the nickname for this?". Stuff like that really rubs me the wrong way. Personally, I consider myself a fan of all sports at UND. I have season tix for hockey and football, I get to about half of the basketball games, and have been to plenty volleyball games as well the last few years. I live an hour and a half from GF, so if it doesn't happen on the weekend its not so convenient. I go to at least one road football game every year, I've been to the Frozen Four, I've been to Mariucci, and I go to the Twin Cities for the conference tournament every year. Having said all that, I admit that I am often one of the first to jump on a "hockey only" poster when they appear. The attitude of a very vocal minority (hopefully they are a minority) has actually soured me just a tiny bit on the hockey program as a whole. I stayed home from the hockey game last night, because I would rather watch UND play a DI football team online than watch them beat up on DII Bemidji on the ice. 5 years ago it would have taken an act of congress to keep me away from the REA on a Saturday night for a regular season game. But enough about me. Hope you enjoy yourself in Missoula next week, I hear it is a great atmosphere there. We are actually kicking around the idea of driving out for that one too, but will be a last minute decision if we do. Our designated yearly trip this year is Cal Poly in November. We also did NDSU, so would be awesome to hit 3 road games in one year.
  23. The lack of forcing turnovers has been a glaring problem. Not opportunistic at all.
  24. I sure liked the play call that sealed the PSU game. Sure didn't like how the final offensive play of he last two games unfolded. No. Sure that is on the OC though.....
