  1. Yeah, being a dope-head is no big deal. He's only failed 3 drug tests in the last 12 months, so what's the problem?..................................
  2. 2012 Big Sky position rankings: Wide receivers EWU has 3 in the top 10
  3. Big Sky Preseason Poll 1. Portland State 68 (2) 2. Northern Colorado 66 (4) 3. Montana 64 (2) 4. Weber State 58 (1) T5. Northern Arizona 50 (1) T5. Sacramento State 50 7. Idaho State 39 8. Eastern Washington 23 T9. North Dakota 16 T9. Southern Utah 16 Sadly, I really can't argue with this.....................
  4. Cal Poly seems to be getting overlooked by pretty much everyone...................
  5. I like Mussman..........................more and more each season. But Lennon is rightfully so a legend in the annals of North Dakota football................. I'll leave it at that...................
  6. There is likely a valid reason that the most prestigious of the 4 "major" universities in the Dakotas has thus far been the only one to decline any contributions from Sanford...............
  7. I hope that includes Fox College Sports..................
  8. Like Sprig said, you'd still need to hook a computer to the TV for Big Sky TV regardless of whether it is a Smart TV or not. You can buy a computer that is designed to hook to a big screen TV, that IMO would give you alot more options than a Smart TV, unless you are really into streaming YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. The one I have is an Acer Revo. Very compact and does a good job for me. Can be a bit pricey, but to me, it was a better option than carrying my laptop around and all the cords for it to hook up whenever a game was going to be on and then have to unhook everything again. It'll also play bluray discs and dvds. I have used the apps on my samsung bluray player to download movies from Amazon like Sprig said, it has everything my Smart TV has, which I've never really used.
  9. Coach Jones still has an active request out on Basketball Travelers for a game on either Dec 28 or 29. That would seem to jive with the schedule that NODAK13 posted. One game left to get I guess..................
  10. I guess one option that has been mentioned but seems to be overlooked by many (including myself) is Big Sky TV. They will carry 9 of North Dakota's 11 football games this year and will do so for free. I've actually had pretty good luck watching Big Sky TV over the last 3 years or so. They should also have every single home men's or women's basketball game and every road Big Sky game. The real problem is hockey. Personally, I find webcasts of hockey to be virtually unwatchable.
  11. On the video at UNDsports.com for Media Day, Jack Michaels specifically mentioned the "black-out" game against Montana....................
  12. Although I originally thought that UND had one year left on the Fox College Sports deal, the fact that Midco is televising the football opener but it is not on any of the FCS schedules, has me doubting this assumption.............................. They are still replaying several North Dakota events throughout August, so maybe there is a chance.
  13. "In The Clear"......................... As opposed to scrambled.
  14. I think this hurts for the future. My hope was that Bradley would be the #2 this year, get another year in the system, and be the starter next season. That would make Mollberg the likely starter in 2014 as a sophomore with two years of experience in the system and 3 years of eligilibity left. Having a different quarterback every single season is not ideal.
  15. Damn, sorry about that. Great minds think alike? Have to admit that I provided a cool-ass potential logo though!
  16. No doubt. Anything that the Herald reports can be found in a UND press release about 6 hours earlier.
  17. You are right, but the point is that it's all relative.................... North Dakota was the epitome of a "run-first" team last season, because we did not have the personell to throw the ball with consistent success. Southern Utah was a "pass-first" team last season because they didn't have the personell to run the ball with consistent success. NDSU was an ideal 50/50 team last year in my eyes, just like they were in the Steve Walker years. Jensen is no Walker, but he runs your offense efficiently and mistake free. Jose Mohler...................not so much. Everybody wants to be balanced. In the Big Sky, I'd say only EWU is philosophically a pass-first team.
  18. I like Reapers the best, but also like Cavalry.................................... I don't care for Roughriders........................ And by the way, Sicatoka, I think you stole the Reapers idea from me.
  19. Just out of curiosity, did you ever attend football games at the Alerus in the early part of the decade? It has been a terribly sterile environment the last 5 years or so for various reasons, but from about 2001 to 2007, I felt it was an extremely excitable venue for football. When near capacity with a raucous crowd it can be deafening in there, and I attribute alot of that to the closed roof. Personally, I prefer indoor football in UND's situation..............
  20. Cal Poly will definately be a playoff team this season.................
  21. As I pointed out in this thread, Big Sky offenses generate 41% of their yards via the run, compared to 43% in the MVFC. Additionally, the top 3 teams in the Big Sky standings a year ago were also the top 3 running teams in the conference. Two of those teams had the #1 and #2 run defenses in the league. And the top 4 passing teams in the Big Sky had a combined conference record of 9-23. I'd hardly call the Missouri Valley a "run-first" conference. I'm not sure that one of those exist in this day and age....................................
  22. The Alerus cost $80 million over a decade ago. I'm thinking a retractable roof stadium a decade from now would be a tish more than $120 million.................
  23. Again with SUU..................... Why so much love? Even from Massey?..............................
  24. ORU is primarily a basketball school and they didn't leave the Summit just because of baseball. ORU left the Summit because they were the high-end basketball school in a low-end basketball league with crappy travel and poor baseball weather. Now they are the high-end basketball school in a low-end basketball leauge with friendly travel and ideal baseball weather. They'll still be the favorites every year in basketball and their baseball recruiting will probably be alot easier.
  25. My gut is telling me that the Midco games are still gonna be on FTA.............................................
