Yes I do. I have no idea who you were talking to but he was never a candidate for any job at UND, he already coached here. He is a good QB coach, very average recruiter.

They obviously did not recruit as well as NDSU. That is all I can come up with. You have no idea what you're talking about with Hedberg, whatsoever.

They won the NC the year before he became DC, meaning somebody else could do just as good of a job. Then, he inherited the best class in Bison history for the next two years (which he had nothing to do with recruiting) and did the same thing Hazelton did. You guys act like he was some defensive genius for winning with those players. I am not saying he isn't a good defensive coordinator, he obviously is. But, taking on those defenses was hardly a tough gig. Hedberg had no other choice, it was stay SIU or go to NDSU so he can get back in area. Don't you guys find it weird that he didn't join Bubba's staff?

CK had little to do with the players he inherited on defense. All he did was maintain. Pretty sure a hell of alot of coaches could have coached that defense. They are doing some speculating on their staff, as is UND. Also, Hedberg wasn't offered a job at UND, read into that.

It was already clarified that UND did not offer him and more than likely will not. At this point the kid would need to come to them but it looks like he has other options.

Neither is UND. Similar to Fleming, don't believe they ever offered. What I found interesting is that UND offered Hartley but turned down his teammate Fleming a few weeks ago. Fleming ended up going to Northern Illinois but I cannot verify whether he was a PWO or not. If NIU offered him a full-ride I will be shocked. Anyone who watches their two tapes can tell Hartley is better. That Morgan Park program is loaded with dudes. From their signing day presser, it looks like they had 10+ guys sign with college programs.

So he was saying that NDSU didn't want the four kids that de-committed, correct? Because they got everyone they wanted.

What did Herzog end up doing?

I was told there are no other Brother Rice players coming to UND. Maybe something will fall through later on but not right now.

He may be wavering, who knows. Much like Kellum.

Did I say LEAVE? No I said reconsider how they recruit the state based on the fact that multiple kids have shown they do not want to go as far as Grand Forks. Try and get a feel initially from the coach, parents, and kid about what they are thinking as far as college. It's a real issue that needs to be addressed. To waste weeks on a kid only to find out they want to stay home eats up bandwidth that could be spent on another kid.

Might need to re-consider how hard they recruit Michigan. A fair amount of these kids do not want to leave the state/area. They couldn't care less what level they play. Gotta get a feel for that early and leave them alone.

I think the lure of staying close to home is going to be tough to overcome. We will see. Funny thing is Carter and Walker are both better than him and had no problem coming to UND. Personal preference, not much you can do.

That hurts. Good player, good kid. He is body type UND needs on the D-Line. He had UNI and UND both putting the full court press on him. Tough decision for him.

He wants to be an Agronomy major so that pretty much sealed UND's fate, besides whatever else he liked about NDSU, etc. Good kid with a big frame. He will put on some size.

IALTO. There is only one school that has the foresight to pull offers before they get turned down. The same school that only loses 5-6 recruits a year (that they really wanted) according to their super-accurate fan recruiting website.

Strange decision but oh well. He would have been a good one to get.

He was supposed to come up last weekend (Sun-Mon) after his NDSU visit but then a previous blizzard pushed back his BB game to Monday. So he couldn't come and that about did it. I believe he is sticking with NDSU. Was a longshot anyway but they had to try. The previous regime had never even offered him so Bubba needed to correct that. Not his fault Muss screwed it up.

He gets academic money. Think they threw a small amount at him to make it official so they have a snapper. No more Joe Schobert situations. Holmen is a good long snapper
