  1. dude, you're a tool. she got from a players mom that they are discouraged to take in your stupidity on a forum like this. You got it from a FORMER roommate of GWMSTRB8 that he left the country. His rumor is herald worthy. Hers is not. You should come with a link for someone leaving the team for good. You don't need a link to know that athlete's everywhere are discouraged from partaking in a message board since no-minds like us sit and bash anyone and everyone.
  2. HEY!! you just ease off of the "time machine" smack talk. Dagies and I have a foolproof to make meeellions of dollars. Or I have a foolproof, and he was witty enough to talk me into letting him gravy train it!! Plus he's building the "time machine" with his "laser". He said preparations A-G haven't quite worked as well as he would like but he found a winner with Preparation H. He said he feels very good about preparation H on the whole.
  3. just one, you can be the office guy, i'll be at the bank in the vault swimming in OUR money!!! We could invest in Microsoft heavily!!
  4. you should get a time machine and take me back to 1976 with you. I would like to start my own little real estate agency and buy up a bunch of land and lake homes. sure beats working.
  5. what is a mystery is that he the flames number 2 prospect!! his production in college doesn't say NUMBER 2 PROSPECT on any team, not even the gophers! must be a huge upside the flames see or like THETRIOUXPER says, completely different style than donnie wants
  6. i haven't been able to find anything to confirm this other than a random post on GPLoser and someone on the calgary message board citing the GPLoser post..... do you have a link to a story or transaction memo??
  7. give me a break, most of them are friends from childhood, high school, or jersey chasers they tap on the road, hell, i'm gonna guess most of them made their myspace profiles from their hometown before they came to college!! but in one way or another, they give a s&!t that he plays hockey. People flock when you are the cat's ass, and who is more that than a professional (bound in this case) athlete.
  8. you don't think that they have tutors for every single class that they are in?? c'mon now. with all the travel time and time away from school that they spend playing their respective sports, you'd be stupid to think otherwise. It's probably easier for them to hang out with tutors, show up for review and test days and go to the rink. These kids aren't stupid enough to not take advantage of that being if they don't get the grades they don't get to play.
  9. i don't believe he is draft eligible, he might be too old
  10. thank you for validating my point. Even though you said the exact opposite of anything, they way you did it and the timing will hopefully prove to these people that this is a huge f'n joke and they should be ashamed for believing it. The only way that they would be able to pull this off is if both of them have signed a pro contract and neither one is under the watchful eye of Hakstol. It might be fun in the garage or screwing around in the apartment, but this is such a joke.
  11. how bout the coach that took him to state twice before he moved on to coaching at UND. I wonder if Eades had anything to do with it?
  12. what are abs?? anyone who knows me, knows the above is NOT true. I haven't had abs since high school, and i didn't even have all six!! azsioux, i don't like them apples. but if you were matt damon and said to me "well, I gat her numba" , i could live with that. I just think that some of these posters are taking it tooooo far with their adoration of the hockey players. runnin, hockeymom... i understand that people buy stupid things for stupid reasons, my fiance` does it constantly. I guess the difference between men and women is men will spend $2 for a $1 item the NEED, where women with spend $1 for a $2 item they find on sale but still don't need ...she doesn't like when i use that joke either runnin....i'm 27, from EGF, now live in small town nodak just south of GF, and live for sioux hockey, but i've never once developed such a love for any athlete or famous person that i would buy anything that they put their face or name on just because they put their face or name on it
  13. always room for an under the radar bash at kessel gotta love THETRIOUXER's commitment
  14. let it be known that i'm not a dumbass and figured that out....my rant was geared towards the rediculous notion of making and selling and actually being the ones that purchased the "gear" just because it's drew and jordy and they play hockey. if this is all one big joke and i'm not in on it, i'll be the first to call myself a jackass.....but me thinks some of you are serious about this. I just hope i'm the jackass.
  15. adding to the above statement.....all of these rankings and grades and whatever else they use to grade these players is 100% speculation. They are taking this players stats, performance, hockey IQ and making a guess at how good they COULD be.
  16. I would seriously hope that you people are joking about this red seal peach merch. I am just as big a sioux hockey fan as the next guy, if not bigger than most, but you gotta be kidding me. These guys play thier instruments for fun, have little more to do outside of hockey, and now they have you people buying their shirts and hats and whatever else because they have a sense of humor?? I can guarantee you that this whole Red seal peach thing is a joke to them, and they are probably sitting in their apartment reading this and laughing. They are hockey players and role models for our kids, but anything beyond that (as far as this obsession goes) is rediculous. They are here to have fun, get an education, and use this hockey program as a stepping stone towards their futures IN HOCKEY. Take is easy on the ridiculous obsession with these hockey players. end rant
  17. what is sad is that even though it isn't a civil right to not be offended, TV and Lawyers are making it so that everyone else suffers the injustice of puting up with those that are offended by anything and everything because it's not Politically Correct to NOT GET YOUR WAY.
  18. by far, best scene in the movie!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Man in Black: All right. Where is the poison? The battle of wits has begun. It ends when you decide and we both drink, and find out who is right... and who is dead. Vizzini: But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine from what I know of you: are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemy's? Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet, because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given. I am not a great fool, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But you must have known I was not a great fool, you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me. Man in Black: You've made your decision then? Vizzini: Not remotely. Because iocane comes from Australia, as everyone knows, and Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. Man in Black: Truly, you have a dizzying intellect. Vizzini: Wait til I get going! Now, where was I? Man in Black: Australia. Vizzini: Yes, Australia. And you must have suspected I would have known the powder's origin, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me. Man in Black: You're just stalling now. Vizzini: You'd like to think that, wouldn't you? You've beaten my giant, which means you're exceptionally strong, so you could've put the poison in your own goblet, trusting on your strength to save you, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But, you've also bested my Spaniard, which means you must have studied, and in studying you must have learned that man is mortal, so you would have put the poison as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me. Man in Black: You're trying to trick me into giving away something. It won't work. Vizzini: IT HAS WORKED! YOU'VE GIVEN EVERYTHING AWAY! I KNOW WHERE THE POISON IS! Man in Black: Then make your choice. Vizzini: I will, and I choose - What in the world can that be? Vizzini: [Vizzini gestures up and away from the table. Roberts looks. Vizzini swaps the goblets] Man in Black: What? Where? I don't see anything. Vizzini: Well, I- I could have sworn I saw something. No matter.First, let's drink. Me from my glass, and you from yours. Man in Black, Vizzini: [they drink ] Man in Black: You guessed wrong. Vizzini: You only think I guessed wrong! That's what's so funny! I switched glasses when your back was turned! Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha - Vizzini: [Vizzini stops suddenly, and falls dead to the right] Buttercup: And to think, all that time it was your cup that was poisoned. Man in Black: They were both poisoned. I spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocane powder.
  19. i have a question... why don't most fans realize that this whole experience for these gifted athletes is about as selfish as it gets? The one's with the most promise don't go to s&!t schools. 1st round picks (or potential 1st rounders) don't go to UAA, MTU, they go to the elite programs in their respective sports because they know there is a greater possibility for exposure. College is a stepping stone on the way to their dream. Most kids dream of being a pro athlete, but there are those few that know they are going to be. Granted nothing is guaranteed, but don't tell me that Zach and Travis and Kessel and Toews and the like don't know that they have the potential and the gift to be great. They say what the fans want to hear because that's what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to tell us that they are staying. If they are ready, and their families are ready, and their Pro team is ready for them, if the money is there they'd be stupid not to go. A National Championship might be what they strive for during the time they are here, but that's not their ultimate dream, and if the right people are telling them they can achieve their ultimate dream, who are we to bitch about them going after it.
  20. is that the language of the new CBA or the old CBA (i'm too lazy to look), since he was drafted under the rules of the old one, that would be the one that would pertain to him. The only reason i ask is that there are numerous accounts of August 1st (or is it 31st) after a players senior season in college that they lose their rights and player becomes a free agent.
  21. and this thread will be closed in.......3.........2..........1.........
  22. it's here and it's closed. Not a very productive discussion happening and closed for good reason.
  23. as long as you keep your nose out of the "robbie earl is a cheap ass diver" arguments and you are willing to bash kessel for anything and everything.... welcome aboard
