Please explain then how it works in Dallas for the Red River shootout Redwing? That certainly doesn't make for a borring atmosphere. The one thing it has going for it is that it is right in the middle of the Texas State fair but I bet there would be just as many students/people at that game with or without the fair. The fair needs that game more than the game needs the fair.

I agree 60K is preposterous. However, 40K might be possible. I think you are underestimating the amount of people that would attend such an event. It wouldn't just be UND/NDSU alumni attending. It would generate a lot of interest from any sports fan with North Dakota roots. It would never be the Texas/OU shootout but it could turn into something special. IMO, most fans can't wait for this rivalry to get started again. I have only been to one football game since I graduated and that was the NC game in Alabama where we lost to GVSU. I would most definitely make the trip for the Sioux/Bison game no matter where it is played.

I am not sure if I like this idea or not but what I do like about it would be the travel costs for out of staters who would have to fly to see the game. I can fly into Minne for half as much as it takes to get to GF or Fargo.

Just booked my flight. I don't have any tickets yet nor do I have a hotel. I am meeting other fans down there but they already have tickets/hotels. I need a single ticket and suggestions on hotel rooms. I looked on the FF website and came across the red lion? Anyone else staying there or other suggestions?
