Maybe you could be a goalie coach. Lord knows we need one. How is Eidsness supposed to get any better without someone that knows how to coach goalies? To me he's regressed since last year. If you look at the schools that consistently put out good goalies (for instance Denver and Wisconsin) they have goalie coaches. Why doesn't UND? I just want to know. Eidsness needs work going side to side and no one seems to be addressing the issue. It's an easy fault to spot to someone trained to see it (no, not me but I have my sources) or so I've been told. Because he doesn't use the inside of his blades well he loses his balance often and doesn't move side to side gracefully. He also needs work on positioning as he's often out of position. And finally, maybe he needs glasses because how'd he lose sight of the puck on the faceoff Saturday night? Did he close his eyes?

And that of course begs the question why did the Sioux jersey win best jersey in North America? ....and the old Sioux jersey was second best (i.e. Chicago Black Hawks). Gopher or Badger jerseys...not even in the contest! Of course they are hideous so that is no surprise.

I'll sign the fire Hak petition....where do I sign? We need a coach that can motivate players in the big games. All I see with Hak is another Doug Woog. Yikes.

I say let's get on with changing the name. And let us never forget how the tribes have let us down when we needed their support. As they say, payback is a bitch and they are going to learn this....that's not a threat or anything...this is nothing to get that worked up about. We can do a great job getting a new namesake and the best part is we will no longer have to cater to a group of people in the hopes they will side with us. They are on their own now...no more special deals or additional programs and buildings. Let's get on with ignoring the Sioux tribes, they don't deserve the attention. Personally I'd like to see UND named the North Stars. They could change the Sioux logos to Stars and it really does fit...the University of North Dakota North Stars...has a nice ring, don't you think?

I'd agree, DaveK is probably not an extremest but Goon sounds an awful lot like one....on the other side. Far left or far right, we'd be better of without both. What ever happened to compromise...whatever happened to a middle ground? Why do we only hear from the voices on the far side (liberal or conservative)? Whenever either bashes the other its always those on the total opposite end of the spectrum doing the bashing. I myself used to be republican but now lean more toward democratic. I used to be more conservative but I now am more liberal. I guess I've lost my way in the world of Goon. That said, I am a staunch supporter of the Sioux nickname and logo and know plenty of liberal minded people who are just as committed to keeping the name. Of all the names for this line I've read so far, I like the Canadian-Pacific line the best. It is clever and it fits. That said, I'm guessing people will go with the DOT line because it's simple and could be thought of in relation to all the dots on the shot chart that the line generates. Of course, it's their initials too.....but should Duncan get top billing? Maybe the TOD line is more like it
