  1. I guess the goofers have some experience in the Frozen Four, but you're playing a team with 9 or 10 seniors on it boy. I think the experience factor and maturity level dips heavily in favor of the Sioux. They did not look at all nervous in the East Regional, while the goofers struggled to score a goal or 2 on home ice - the so-called big ice. It's all about who's playing well now, not what they did 2 or 3 years ago. And the NC is on NHL regulation ice. Our D will be laying some smack on those little rodents. Go Sioux!
  2. No, UND has no chance. Make sure to tell that to the Boston teams, would you?
  3. Do you have a link to the site you got that schedule from? I look on FSN online and don't see any hockey listed. Of course, I could be looking in the wrong place. A little help? Also, I'd imagine it's the same schedule as will be shown in Fargo, correct? Don't tell me I have to spend another weekend in GF......not that that's all bad, just that I've made the trip enough this winter. Thanks.
  4. I too want to wish Tyler Hirsh a speedy recovery and a happy life. I feel as bad for him as I do for Bina. Yes, I always want to see the gophers lose, but never at the expense of the kids playing the game. This kid had lots of talent. Played on the same line with Parise and Murray at Shattuck and chose to attend UM when most of the others came to UND. My heart goes out to him. His injury may be even more severe than Robbie's. I hope they are both able to heal. Here's hoping for a great NCAA with no more serious injuries. Go WCHA! And no, I don't need to see the video, I've heard enough. Needing to see it is kind of like needing to see the car crash that killed the driver and then saying, what a shame. Well, I guess I already know it is a shame.
  5. Ok, I don't chime in often, but something about this thread made me want to respond. As far as coaching I think Hakstol is fine...and I don't hear people saying maybe they should have brought in Sandelin anymore Sandy is not having a good year with a team that was supposed to be mature and talent laiden. It must be the coaching. As to our talent, we have it, what we don't have are enough people that want to go to the net. All our players like to work from the outside and make pretty passes, but what we need are more people willing to take the puck and/or themselves to the net. As to Stafford, I think Drew has to get tougher. I don't think he likes to go to the net or into the corners to be hit. He has moocho talent but doesn't take a hit well. When he played at the WJC and nobody was hitting he lit it up. When they hit he is less effective. As to Murray, I often forget about his knee injury earlier this year and that could be part of the reason his production is down, however, even before the injury he did not look near as fast as he was last year. I think adding 17 pounds over the off-season slowed him down some and took away what really made him dangerous, his speed. I think if Brady works on that over the off-season and gets his speed back he will dominate next year. As to the rest of the team we need contributions from people that have scored at other levels and are now seniors. Quinn Fylling's senior year is a disappointment, James Massen the same as well as a number of others. To me it looks like one of our most effective players is Eric Fabien. It's too bad he's hurt so much as he brings a ton of heart and hustle to the game. That kid works his butt off everytime he's on the ice and makes things happen, it just isn't ending up on the scoreboard because noone on the 4th line can put the puck away. Ok, noone on our team can put the puck away. I think until some on our team develop a Cary Eades attitude on the ice we will have problems winning games. We need a combination of gritty players with big hearts to offset the skilled ones and lately there is a lack of grit and heart and downright nasty attitude in front of the net. Refuse to be stopped going to the net and things will start turning positive. Ok, I'm done and these are only my opinions, they are not necessarily correct. Sorry if they offend anyone.
  6. I voted for Radke because our power play needs help and a defenseman that can really move and shoot the puck could be a huge asset. Actually I like all our rookies and hope they all excel.
  7. So how did you like it?
  8. OK, I've read this forum for years and now had to sign up because no one has asked the question, What bars in Fargo will be carrying the game tonight? I've tried a few but none of them have CSTV. Can anyone help out? Thanks.
