  1. If someone does not make any donation to North Dakota, what ticket price and seat locations are available?
  2. Please pray for Rutgers football player Dondre Asberry. As of the last I heard, the doctors think he will be able to walk again. www.philly.com/mld/philly/sports/colleges/9947457.htm
  3. Thank you very much clayton hoyt. Much more varied regions than I would have expected. The little missouri state park area looked great and I NEVER would have associated North Dakota with pelicans. One of these I need to get past my farthest trip to the Wild West which so far has been as far West as Dayton. Thanks again--hope you all are making sure your scenic areas don't end up with worthless(wal)-marts and condos.
  4. Better luck tomorrow, Sioux fans. Signing out from New Jersey--noon football game tomorrow vs. Temple.---GO SCARLET KNIGHTS! GO FIGHTING SIOUX!
  5. There is only one overtime? No second ot or shootout? Minnesota State announcers say they "outworked" North Dakota in second and third periods.
  6. Switched to Minnesota State's radio signal which is coming through LOUD and clear. The announcer screamed when Minnesota St. tied it up. He is kind of fun listening to though--he is one of those always excited hockey announcers. Every time someone new gets the puck,he makes it sound like they are ready to score.
  7. hi sprig, this announcer sure is bugged about not having any out of town scores.--I am listening to it through fightingsioux.com
  8. This is the first time I have listened to a game on the internet. Is it common for the signal to disconnect every ten minutes or so?
  9. Lucky that Minnesota State's power play is not working(0-4).
  10. Having trouble listening to audio from fightingsioux.com. How did Minnesota State just score?
  11. Hi jloos, A lot of people still have the idea that New Jersey is a state full of factories and smoke stacks. There are hardly any left. They all started leaving the state for the South or foreign nations in the late sixties and seventies. There are still some toxic sites that have not been cleaned up,but not many.New Jersey is a big corporate headquarters/regional office area. While we have way too many people, there are some beautiful areas of the state such as the one I live in near an area called the Delaware Water Gap.About half of our local counties are preserved as federal or state parks. We have TONS of dear, heron, beavers, a few eagles, fox, coyotes, and this year alone I have seen four bear. I hike and kayak a lot and when you see a bear you just back up slowly until it leaves the trail(this year I was about fifteen yards from one). The rangers say to NEVER run away from one because that will alarm them and they can run a lot faster than a person.---Can you tell me what North Dakota is like? I know there are some prairies and one of the guys mentioned not many trees, but are there big/small mountains, lakes, rivers, desert areas, etc.?
  12. I keep reading about fans not being able to get to see the games on TV because of satellite coordinate problems and dataflix(?). Why aren't the games just shown on the local cable systems as a pay perview feature. It could be purchased by the game, season, or as an all-sports(football,basketball,hockey) package. The university could still get a portion of each purchase, plus get some of the commercials money.
  13. Is the "storm" a minor league team? Went to my first Wilkes Barre-Scranton Penguins game this year on Wednesday. They started out well, but lost to the Manitoba Moose(Vancouver's AHL team). The arena they play in holds about 8,000 and every game they play is either a sell-out or close to it. You can get a ticket for $13 and parking is free. Some NHL arenas charge more than $13 to park your car. A little too much fighting in the AHL for my taste, but still a good night out. Another local minor league team is the Trenton Titans who play in the ECHL in a slightly larger arena.
  14. I don't know if bears and bear hunting is controversial out in North Dakota, but here in New Jersey it is really turning out to be a big deal. Last year was the first year in decades that bear hunting was allowed by the state. Hundreds of people jammed the streets of Trenton, the state capital, on behalf of both sides. The state is leaning to not have one this year, but I don't think a final decision has been made yet. To show you how crazy it is getting, you might want to read this article--- www.nj.com/search/index.ssf?/base/news-3/1097647880103290.xml?nmr
  15. Hey Jordan, I live in New Jersey and don't think I will be out West this year. Hoping to find another way to get one. Unless I missed it, I have not found any on the websites.
  16. A lot of colleges have schedule-posters that they distribute to local sports stores, delis, etc. and some schools even give them out to fans at an early season game. Does anyone know if North Dakota has schedule-posters and how I might get one? Thanks for the info.
  17. Is the coaches show available on any website? North Dakota radio stations signals can't seem to reach New Jersey. Thanks.
  18. The revived World Hockey Association is supposed to begin play at the end of the month, but one of the teams(Dallas) has announced they will not be playing this year. I keep hearing the league will have such and such number of teams but the number keeps going down. If the WHA does begin play, are there any North Dakota players in it? This would be a perfect year for a new league to begin, but they appear to be off to a somewhat shaky start. Among the cities I have heard might have a team are Cincinnati,Orlando,Jacksonville,Minneapolis, Houston,Halifax,Toronto,Quebec City, and Phoenix.
  19. Congratulations North Dakota on being ranked #1!!!---Even though it is the beginning of the season, I would think any player, fan,or coach wants to see their team's name at the top of the polls.---What type of team is Minnesota State? Also, I was wondering why six of the first eight games are on the road.
  20. In NCAA Division II, how many losses usually eliminate a team from getting into the playoffs. If they play a Division III or I--AA, do those games count against them? If North Dakota does not lose any more games, are they in good shape for a slot in the playoffs?
  21. The only college hockey game I have seen in person was at Princeton(I live about two hours away in northern New Jersey and Princeton is in the central part of the state). It kind of reminded me of an old stone church. I am hoping to go up to West Point this year to see Army's new hockey arena. It is right next to Michie Stadium which many people regard as the best place to see a college football game as far as scenery is concerned. If I was not moving the end of the month, I would try to go up to Mass. to see North Dakota play. If North Dakota ends up in the East for the NCAA tournament, I believe I read that a couple sites will also be up in Mass.
  22. During these time periods between National Championships, was North Dakota still a pretty good program? Thanks .
