I strongly disagree. Sure, it is highly unlikely they will be the number 1 team in the nation but this WILL NOT be a 2001-2002 repeat. If you remember, extremely subpar goaltending (Kollar and Siembida were BAD), BAD play by current senior defensemen ,and lack of contribution from freshman forwards (bochenski is really the only forward who contributed, massen had a decent year for a frosh, and fournier was a huge flop) all contributed to the disaster that was the 2001-2002 season. UND had one line and the rest were pretty worthless.

You guys have no sense of humor.

Not to mention one of UND's best players was playing for the other team.

I wouldnt say that.. only underclassman can be on the team (19 or younger right?) Sure there are a lot of future stars on the team but not all of the best players in college hockey.

I hope not or UND will get beat.

The most recent push for an arena and D-1 hockey was during UND's 2000 championship run. (coincidence? I think not). This is most likely what triggered the going D-1 across the board talk.

Had it in bismarck for a couple years and here in Salt lake. We usually get the cheesecake ice cream with cherries, almonds and graham cracker mixed in. The ultimate bucket is only 10 dollars, divided by 3 =about 3 dollars a piece. Not too bad, unless you want your own kind. It is definitely worth it though, it is hands down the best ice cream i have ever had.

This is all a domino effect that started with Grant Potulny. Ryan went to UM because of his brother, and Irmen went to UM because of Ryan. I don't think this is a trend that will last too far into the future.

I was trying trying to take a pot shot at the vikings attempt at a fake punt last Sunday. I would not have complained if the sioux had fake punted or gone for it (even if they missed.) They were on the opponents 40 yard line which traditionally is the most likely place a team would go for it on 4th and very short. It's not like they were backed up in their own end.

I agree completely. The way Pitt St. was moving the ball I don't think it mattered if they started at the 10, 20, or 40 (which would have been the case if UND failed on 4th and 1). It is very rare that a punt that lands on the 1 yard line gets downed, they usually roll intothe endzone. This was the real turning point (not the penalty on the field goal) in the game as the UND offense was not the same after that play.

I think this was a significant call, but the turning point in the game was when UND punted on 4th and 1. Although punting is the safe call, it didn't really help them much. The UND offense wasn't the same after that.

I agree 100 percent and im pretty sure lennon knows this. Having been to quite a few of Dressler's HS games, much of dressler's numbers in HS were obtained in the first half. By the second half, he had a date with the pine watching the Demons obliterate another inferior team.

The World Arena probably isnt as high as you think it is. although definitely a lot higher than Grand Forks
