I agree 100%. Well stated.
-
I wonder if he knows that scheduling will be a part of his job description.
-
How has the attendance typically been for you in the fargodome for playoff games? Must be more than 5,000 huh?
-
Ok, so an employer comes to you and says they are willing to double your salary with the caveat being you have to accept it now or never. I won't even mention the other positives to Coach Lennon's family for accepting the position. Then you say you would like to at least wait until your players get back from all over the upper midwest from Christmas vacation so you can tell them personally in a meeting. Employer then asks when that will be. You say end of the first week in January. Employer says that's too long, and that they need to know now so they can move forward one way or another. What would you fellas do in your infinite wisdom?

This sour grapes stuff is crap. Grow up. I think it's safe to say that Coach Lennon left this program in a much better situation than it was in when he got here with all that has transpired during his tenure. Was it ideal timing for UND? No. But sometimes you have to do whats best for you and your family. Don't berate him for doing exactly that. Ridiculous.

I wonder who will win the Will Jackson sweepstakes. According to that website, he has offers from both ND schools. Should be very interesting.
-
Ok, you and ndsubison1 are correct. Dale Lennon and his staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing and are completely missing the boat by even thinking about recruiting Montana. Their overall philosophies in regards to recruiting are completely killing them right now. Now can the both of you please stop arguing this point? It is absolutely painful to read.
-
Dale Lennon doesn't blow his whistle, he commands the wind to do it for him. I think we should start a thread of these.
-
While he is probably considered a project, like most all lineman at this level, McGurran has a TON of potential and upside. I think this is a great find for UND and I believe he will have a big impact on the o-line in the future. Some people are going to say that this was a "PR" recruit because of his dad being a former player and alum, but he is much more than that. Great start so far with the commitments. Taking care of our back yard first.

I know exactly who you are talking about. However, I'm not sure that he himself is worth that much money. I believe he is a high ranking executive of the company that is worth over a billion. I also believe that said individual will be around UND Football a lot more in the future and will be donating some of his "resources". I wasn't aware that this was such a big secret. But, when in Rome. I guess I won't be the one to spill the beans.

That, and the ignorance factor of some have us to the point that we are at in this thread. I obviously agree with your statement.
-
Should we fire Dale and his staff?
-
In regards to the Crookston o-lineman, I would like to think we have an inside track there with Eric Schmidt having just come from the Crookston High School team as head coach. He would have been his coach when he was a sophomore. I hadn't heard much about this kid, what are his measurables?
-
I agree with this statement completely. Well said. In Dale, We Trust...

We could have every individual that is involved in the UND athletic department come on this message board and post their thoughts about this situation, and I'm still not sure you would buy it.

Hammer is great as a play-by-play guy. I feel sorry that he is subjected to such unprofessional broadcasting. He deserves better. I hope he is the voice of fighting sioux for a long time. Also, I wish he was still doing the Sioux Football Show. He did a great job last year.
-
I would like to echo the sentiment that someone had stated earlier. It's the home opener, on a Thursday, during the evening, with a very exciting season on the horizon, in UND's last year in D2. I hope that everybody that can attend the game will go and support this great team and program led by Dale Lennon. Get your friends off their butts and into the game as well. Tailgating should be a blast (minus the parking and tailgating charges). As you can tell, I am very excited and will be there. FILL THE ALERUS ON THURSDAY AND EVERY OTHER HOME GAME THIS YEAR!! GO SIOUX!!!

Wow, Thats good to hear. I just checked the roster and #27 is listed as true freshman Josh Murray from Wisconsin. Good to know that the freshman class has some studs in it. Future looks bright for the Sioux. Was he running with the young guys, or with the 1's and 2's?

WiSioux, Wow, great detail and description. Thank you very much for the insight from the scrimmage. Sounds like the first team o-line should be tough. That was sort of expected on paper. I wouldn't expect Chappell and Dressler to be playing much. Nothing but injury could come from it. Speaking of injuries, anything significant? Anybody else have any other things to talk about from the scrimmage?
-
If anyone that is planning on going to the scrimmage tonight could get back here when it is over to post your thoughts about everything, it would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it because I have some family commitments to tend to. I hope to see a lot of different points of view and perspectives since I won't be able to make my own. And hopefully, all of it is positive feedback with no serious injury reports. Thanks in advance.
