  1. ok, so answer this question..........if UND's moves up in the next 5 years, do you think ndsu will just stick with sdsu as its travel partner?
  2. oh please enlighten me.......which criticism might that be?
  3. haven't you been saying all along that you wanted to make the move with UND? we wouldn't go, so you fell back on your crutch, the step-sister's @ sdsu, to take the leap of faith with you. "what do you have as an asset that sdsu doesnt?", as you so eloquently put it. well, if UND doesn't have any desirable assets over sdsu, then why the hell do you keep talking about the reasons why we should move up with you either in the past, present, or future? The real answer is: You WANT us to go DI-AA, you NEED us to go DI-AA, and if and when that does happen, then what happens to your little bee-otches in Brookings that have so many "assets"? i think we all know ndsu would throw sdsu to the wolves if they had to make a decision on travel partners for a conference affiliation. i think you and i both know that UND has many more "assets" than sdsu.
  4. As far as football is concerned, I don't honestly see a long-term skid happening at UND as long as Dale Lennon is the head coach. Could it happen? Anything can happen. Is it likely? No. Basketball is a different story, but maybe not now that NDSU and SDSU are gone. Time will tell.
  5. Good points, UND 92,96. Mertens from EGF, Chappell from GFC, and Wahlin from Crookston are all excellent athletes with great potential for the college game. Another probable recruit from EGF is their WR Nate Rambeck. Sounds like he has a good understanding of the game(route-running, etc.) Those are just a few that stand out at this point, I know there are more. Should be plenty of local talent for UND to choose from this year, which is nice to see.
  6. thats because we don't want them on our schedule.
  7. i respectfully and whole-heartedly disagree.
  8. Im talking about not missing a beat with ndsu in football. And I believe I am correct in that assumption. If ndsu can go to Montana and beat them with the scholarship differential, AT MONTANA, then why is it that you think UND wouldnt be able to do the same to ndsu?
  9. IowaBison, UND will make a decision on whether or not we will move when we deem it necessary, and when it is determined it is in the best interest of the school. And if a decision is made to move up, then we will continue the series and continue the consistent dominance over your program that we have demonstrated for the last 12 years, even with the scholarship differences. I'm very confident that if and when UND decides to move up, we will be able to compete at "ndsu's level" instantly without missing a beat.
  10. I agree, boys. This is the most meaningful season opener that UND has seen in many years. Its always been UMC and Moorhead St. in the past. I will truly be pissed off if the fans dont come out for this one. You can count on one thing for sure.........that I'll be there with bells on in the tailgating areas at about 8:30. Should be a great game, and I am excited as hell. Everyone get your rear-ends out the game, and kick your buddies in ass to get there as well. "Get er' Done", Dale GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!
  11. How did the scrim turn out? Anyone see it? If so, what were your thoughts on it?
  12. Priceless.......
  13. Oh yeah, GO SIOUX!!!!
  14. anyone who has any doubts about hoffschneiders play last year has to realize that he was a FRESHMAN. the younger guys are bound to make mistakes, and at corner those mistakes are always the most visible. every corner will get beat at some time. to have 5 picks as a freshman is impressive, i don't care how you get them. the more he plays the better he will get. hoffschneider is solid, and will only get better.
  15. teamsioux, you bring up an interesting topic. last year hoffschneider and manke started. franklin was inelegible last season and was probably the best corner they have. another backup they have is donovan alexander. this is the deepest that UND has been at corner since i can remember. they have 4 very capable guys that can play. so the question remains, do you keep hoffschneider and manke as your starters from last year and not break up any continuity? or do you let franklin start ahead of one of the 3? also, corner has always been a position that i have noticed throughout the years never brings in fresh guys. UND's d-line, and LB's have always rotated fresh guys, but not in the secondary. i dont know if it was bubba's philosophy, if it was because they just never had the depth they do now, or if rotating corners is just something you dont do because of the mentality back there. if anyone knows this reason please feel free to explain. but that is another option, to rotate corners every 4th series or something to that effect. any way you look at it, we are loaded at corner and that is a good thing. it will be interesting to see who comes out of fall camp as the two starters.
  16. that game sucked really bad. that season was a little disappointing as a whole.
