NDSU especially, but all the Dakota MVFC schools have been a beneficiary of the 25 year ineptitude and mediocrity of the U of Minnesota football coaching staffs to recruit and develop kids from Minnesota, the Dakotas, and Western Wisconsin. How many kids have the Gophers missed on? .......Not a Gopher fan.

Would have liked to see SS get picked up by the Gophers so could follow his career easier, but there would possibly be 6 guys ahead of him. That said UM just picked up a kid from Elon about the same size with one more year left, but stats not as good as SS in whatever the hell league Elon plays in and another from Iowa State so he probably made the right move for him. Not sure what Wake has in the stable, but good luck to him.

Is that the Peter Principle? I managed up to 25 people at a Fortune 500 company and that number of moves would scare the crap out of an HR staff.

Obviously the kid had some talent. Maybe Danny can find a way to use it. I wouldn't write him off. Lots of options. Just keep him available.

Interesting that there will be 3 QBs on the roster from Wisc in addition to the fellow Schmidt brought in from Cal. Should be fun to sort that out the next few years. Hopefully there's some real talent there. Seems good QBs in the MVFC are in abundance lately.

I am a long ways from a coaching expert, but Rogers ascent has seemed a bit odd and overzealous to me. Took over for a legend at SDSU, only 2 years of great success, moved to WSU for 2 years with marginal success. Now moving to ISU and 50 players there hit the portal. Seems like some or all of this is premature. Also odd that he could not find a way to fit Danny into his plans somewhere after Danny made the move to Brookings. FWIW.

Based on his major not sure what he would study at UND. We dont offer carpentry technology. Wonder why the Montana schools didn't get him.

Danny has already been here long term and very seldom people from Alabama like ND or Mn. On the + side Danny knows the recruiting area especially Wisconsin and he knows the MVFC. GF has more to offer than Brookings and maybe Spokane. Reportedly his family liked GF and the wr coach could open recruiting channels in the south. Overall quality of MV is getting stronger. UND has to keep getting better to keep pace. We'll see how that goes.

Can't get excited about either one. Guy from Alabama will be looking to get out of GF and Danny will be looking for the next oppty to move up.
