  1. Feel like they're one big donation from the Golden Knights, KEM, or another donor away from going D1. Not sure what KEM's relationship with UNLV is now, I know the Engelstad Foundation had stopped funding UNLV in the recent past.
  2. Don't know anything about his game specifically, but he's listed as a 2027 HS graduation year, meaning he's first time commitment eligible on August 1.
  3. 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Camp Roster posted: 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup Selection Camp Roster and Staff Every player in the camp is a 2008 & 18 are still uncommitted (Nick Bogas is mistakenly listed as uncommitted, he's still committed to Michigan State).
  4. You can tell Wysh has done some research, but still is out of his element talking about NCAA Hockey
  5. Braidy Wassilyn is another high end 2008 that has committed, he's going to Boston University. He should be back in the O with Niagara for 2025-26 and then with the Terriers for 2026-27.
  6. Just started my Instagram deep dive to see who these August 1 first time eligible (as well as existing uncommitted) recruits are following. Not sure what to expect in terms of who & how many 2009s (as well as US late 2008s) Chyzyk & Jackson will get in this cycle. Interested to see if it will be a mix of Canadians & Americans or more one than the other, & if UND continues to mainly get Western Canadians & Minnesotans or if they're able to break through outside of the normal recruiting strongholds. If anyone wants to share what they're hearing about August 1 potentials, please do.
  7. Very odd that none of the Philadelphia universities have D1 hockey, especially Penn. I guess it has to do with them all being basketball schools and hockey isn't native to the Philadelphia Metro Area, Ed Snyder is the only reason why the Flyers ever became an NHL team.
  8. Assuming you forgot to delete Denver lol? One school with FCS football but in an area of the country where hockey makes a ton of sense is Rhode Island. Always found it odd that they didn't have hockey
  9. Guesses for the "would have never thought of this school". 1. Old school SEC country, could be a bigger university from the SEC or a small university outside of the Power 4/5. 2. Any school in Texas. 3. Utah/BYU/Utah State or even just a random university in the Mountain West portion of the country. 4. West Virginia
  10. Link to interview on video or podcast?
  11. Nvm then, I guess I meant to say he might not have all the core credits done to get into university in the States to play NCAA
  12. It's possible he didn't have all of the core credits done to get through the NCAA Clearinghouse
  13. Heisenberg has moved from the 2025 List to the 2026 List now, good resource to keep track of most commitments if you don't use it already. Chris Heisenberg's 2026 List.xlsx - Google Sheets
  14. Very interested to see how they do with a fully healthy Cruz Lucius
  15. I still think Michigan State is a more likely national champion than Penn State, simply because of goaltending. At least on paper.
  16. Considering he was a BCHLer, I could see him being comparable to Kyle Turris back when he was a prospect. Turris was only at Wisconsin for one year and left too early to turn pro.
  17. Martone knows he has nothing left to prove in the O: he either wants a near guaranteed NHL roster spot or some sort of step up in competition level, which the NCAA would give him since he can't play in the A this year. Desnoyers would benefit from better competition in the NCAA too. Expectations now are quite high for him considering he was picked in the top 5. He dominated pretty weak competition in the Q last year, not too much to gain going back there (other than increasing his points per game).
  18. I think they're puzzled bringing in a D3 guy, but they justify it since he'll be a 14th forward and he's a Minnesotan.
  19. Bowling Green loses their top recruit for now, Mazden Leslie returns to the Dub for his overage season. Bet Leslie signs a minor pro deal after next season.
  20. Minnesota bringing in a D3 guy, Graham Harris (2003), instead of going after any of the medium to high profile CHLers. Bold strategy.
  21. Dennis Williams continues his Dub to Bowling Green pipeline, picking up Dominik Rymon, whom Williams drafted/signed with Everett, so a lot of familiarity there.
  22. 2025-26 NTDP rosters officially posted on their website. For now, no replacements listed for the u18 team following the departures of Jonas Kemps (Michigan State commit) and JP Hurlbert (Michigan commit). U.S. National Under-18 Team - 2025-26 Regular Season - Roster U.S. National Under-17 Team - 2025-26 Regular Season - Roster
  23. Not committed, largely associated with a potential commitment if he doesn't sign his ELC
  24. I always thought it was possible, since all of these guys went major junior under the old rules, showing that they didn't have a burning desire to go NCAA. NHL teams have almost always signed their high pick major junior guys right away to ELCs, so the old trend continues even with the new rules. We'll see how the hockey world adjusts over time. Getting Reschny and Verhoeff for 2025-26 was an absolute steal by Chyzyk and Jackson, Berry probably doesn't pull in either.
