  1. Fix the structure during intermission, guys are all over the place and it's leading to bad breakdowns
  2. That felt inevitable, too much scattered play
  3. Overskating a lot of plays, getting out of defensive lanes, giving them too many opportunities. Chances will be there, gotta stay disciplined.
  4. Get the regulation win. Preferably comfortably, would like a 5-2 dub
  5. Michigan State wins 4-2. Notre Dame played pretty well. They aren't good but their work ethic is a lot better now. Interested to see what Sheahan builds with good recruits coming in next year and the year after
  6. I second this, man he's not been good tonight
  7. 3-2 Spartans after 2
  8. 2-1 Michigan State. Stramel on the PP
  9. Some GPLers were speculating (or have inside info) that Fitzhenry & Schneider's advisors have told them to delay committing to wait and see what the landscape will look like. Would assume this means regarding potential NIL opportunities as well as the direction of Minnesota's program, assuming they're pretty interested in the Gophers
  10. 1-1 after 1. Fighting Irish outplaying the Spartans right now
  11. 80s night. Honoring their 1986 National Championship team, per Ben Holden on the B1G broadcast
  12. 1-1 tie. Notre Dame nice goal to even it up
  13. 1-0 State, Strbak goal to open up the night
  14. I would guess Chyzyk/Jackson have made contact, but there's no indication that North Dakota is or isn't one of the favorites for Fitzhenry. All insinuations have been that the recruiting strategy would be 60% CHL (most of which would be in the Dub due to Western Canada proximity and historical ties to the program, and 40% US (most of which would be Minnesota, North Dakota/Upper Midwest). A large majority of the current commits are from the States, although many of them committed before the rules change in November 2024.
  15. Do they just not have a huge traveling hockey fanbase? What's the issue there?
  16. Tonight's WHL Top Prospects Game:
  17. Valente had a very good 18 year old season of junior in the J20, just got buried a bit at Providence, good to see Ferschweiler turn him into a dude though
  18. Cannot wait for the day where CHLers going to the NCAA is so normal that major junior players don't even think about moving up to the NCAA when they're ready, they just do it
  19. Burnevik became that guy and Ingram hasn't progressed
  20. Would take the Ruck Twins at North Dakota for 2026-27 or 2027-28. They're tearing up the Dub for Medicine Hat
  21. North Dakota should never be done reaping the rewards. I expect North Dakota, Denver, & Michigan to be the 3 top programs recruiting the Dub/Western Canada, with others like Michigan State, Boston University, Boston College, & Penn State in the mix if they so choose. North Dakota and Denver have the historical and geographic advantage. With tons of program alums from Western Canada (as we see on the UND staff), both the Pioneers and Fighting Hawks have tons and tons of minor/junior hockey connections throughout the western provinces, setting both up for major recruiting success.
