  1. Circling back on Carter Casey (late 2007, Grand Rapids, MN native) and his recruitment being down to Denver, Wisconsin, Minnesota, & North Dakota: Denver has Hicks & Miller with Boettiger on the way, Wisconsin has Hauser, Castro, & Pulver (although all 3 very unproven), North Dakota has Homer & Spunar with Heil on the way, & Minnesota just has Di Pasquo & Airey. Really think Denver and North Dakota are stocked full going forward in net, Wisconsin has guys but none are guarantees, and Minnesota is pretty barren. Seems like it would come down to Minnesota & Wisconsin, but it also could depend on how many years of junior Casey will play, could defer him coming in until 2027, wherever he goes.
  2. Denver and Western Michigan look to be solid value bets considering Carle knows what he's doing & Ferschweiler continues to turn nobodies into dudes every year.
  3. I'm aware. I just shared every program that he follows. The only bluebloods are Denver, North Dakota, Michigan, Minnesota, Boston University, Boston College, & Wisconsin. Edwards follows all except for the Gophers, & pretty obvious as to why he doesn't.
  4. Beckham Edwards (2008, OHL, Sarnia Sting, projected 2026 late 1st/early 2nd rounder) follows Boston University, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Penn State, Notre Dame, North Dakota, Ohio State, Providence College, Denver, Michigan, & Boston College. So basically all the bluebloods except for Minnesota & then a few more. He'll be able to go wherever he wants if he goes NCAA.
  5. Chyzyk coming in as GM changed everything for the better. Jackson doesn't have to do everything & can close the deal when he is needed in recruiting.
  6. Peyton Kettles (2007, WHL, Swift Current Broncos, 2025 Pittsburgh 2nd rounder) follows North Dakota, Quinnipiac, & Boston College on Instagram. Would be super beneficial for the Dub defenseman to go the NCAA route. Kettles doesn't produce much offense & needs to refine his game further before turning pro. I think another year in the Dub & then jump to the NCAA as a 19 year old makes a lot of sense.
  7. Might have to wait till August 1, but this is exactly my mood today:
  8. Please share anymore notable ones you see. Moulton is a 2011 absolutely destroying Bantam AA for Shakopee. One to keep an eye on for sure.
  9. That would require USports teams to significantly upgrade their programs and invest a lot more into their product than they do. Canadian university athletics aren't a big deal in Canada at all compared to the NCAA in the States, and the lack of fan support for USports shows it. I see too many logistical hurdles for a full blown Canadian invasion of the NCAA. Simon Fraser is the only one who has been an NCAA member, and they're D2.
  10. 2025 Hockey Canada U18 (2008s) and U17 (2009s) Summer Camp Rosters posted. Lots of good targets in addition to Verhoeff and Williams already locked up. Camp Roster | National Men’s Summer U18 Team Selection Camp Canada's National Under-17 Development Camp |
  11. Keaton Verhoeff and Cooper Williams named to 2025 Hockey Canada U18 Team Summer Camp Roster Camp Roster | National Men’s Summer U18 Team Selection Camp
  12. Feel like they're one big donation from the Golden Knights, KEM, or another donor away from going D1. Not sure what KEM's relationship with UNLV is now, I know the Engelstad Foundation had stopped funding UNLV in the recent past.
  13. Don't know anything about his game specifically, but he's listed as a 2027 HS graduation year, meaning he's first time commitment eligible on August 1.
  14. 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Camp Roster posted: 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup Selection Camp Roster and Staff Every player in the camp is a 2008 & 18 are still uncommitted (Nick Bogas is mistakenly listed as uncommitted, he's still committed to Michigan State).
  15. You can tell Wysh has done some research, but still is out of his element talking about NCAA Hockey
  16. Braidy Wassilyn is another high end 2008 that has committed, he's going to Boston University. He should be back in the O with Niagara for 2025-26 and then with the Terriers for 2026-27.
  17. Just started my Instagram deep dive to see who these August 1 first time eligible (as well as existing uncommitted) recruits are following. Not sure what to expect in terms of who & how many 2009s (as well as US late 2008s) Chyzyk & Jackson will get in this cycle. Interested to see if it will be a mix of Canadians & Americans or more one than the other, & if UND continues to mainly get Western Canadians & Minnesotans or if they're able to break through outside of the normal recruiting strongholds. If anyone wants to share what they're hearing about August 1 potentials, please do.
  18. Very odd that none of the Philadelphia universities have D1 hockey, especially Penn. I guess it has to do with them all being basketball schools and hockey isn't native to the Philadelphia Metro Area, Ed Snyder is the only reason why the Flyers ever became an NHL team.
  19. Assuming you forgot to delete Denver lol? One school with FCS football but in an area of the country where hockey makes a ton of sense is Rhode Island. Always found it odd that they didn't have hockey
  20. Guesses for the "would have never thought of this school". 1. Old school SEC country, could be a bigger university from the SEC or a small university outside of the Power 4/5. 2. Any school in Texas. 3. Utah/BYU/Utah State or even just a random university in the Mountain West portion of the country. 4. West Virginia
  21. Link to interview on video or podcast?
  22. Nvm then, I guess I meant to say he might not have all the core credits done to get into university in the States to play NCAA
  23. It's possible he didn't have all of the core credits done to get through the NCAA Clearinghouse
  24. Heisenberg has moved from the 2025 List to the 2026 List now, good resource to keep track of most commitments if you don't use it already. Chris Heisenberg's 2026 List.xlsx - Google Sheets
  25. Very interested to see how they do with a fully healthy Cruz Lucius
