    There's this weird fallacy being thrown around social media that is implying that all good Canadian CHLers were expensive to add in terms of NIL. That's completely false. A large portion, likely a 60-70% majority of Canadian CHLers that became eligible and are now in the NCAA for 2025-26, did not cost much if any to bring to campus. People just like to use NIL as a convenient excuse for not recruiting harder and better.

    2008s, 2026 Draft eligible, projected late 1st/early 2nd rounders. Schloss told me they haven't started looking at NCAA programs but that could pick up after the season. They could play another year in the Dub before going to the NCAA in 2027-28. They could sign and stay in junior and then go pro, so we'll see.

    Exactly. I'm guessing they believed he'd be dominant in junior as a 19 year old & he hasn't been that so they wanted him back in junior for his 20 year old season and he wanted to come in. It is what it is, opens up a future spot

    St Thomas is certainly going to be a bigger player in recruiting battles for Minnesotans going forward, this proves it. They won't land the bigger names right away, but they'll be kicking tires earlier than most

    3rd goal given up by Ivankovic was weak. He just hasn't looked as strong as he did pre injury (where Nelson accidentally on purpose ran him over).

    Turk is getting hype because of his name, he's playing at a pretty low level of minor hockey out west. Duke is better (2025 5th round pick in the Dub, and even then, most think he was drafted too high), has a long way to go just to become a major junior player

    In the football recruiting context, I would say a lower end 4 star with potential to become a higher end 4 star with more development. Might need another year of junior post NTDP before getting to campus

    The fact that Notre Dame had Cooley, McGroarty, Pastujov, Tyler Duke, and more committed there back in 2020 before they all decommitted for greener pastures just signifies to me that they were fortunate to even get those commitments in the first place.
