I must have flunked geography because I couldn't find ND either. Sat around for quit a while answering the questions in different ways and could still never find it.

Sounds like UND isn't the only school who is arguing with their own students about problems at hockey games. If you interchange UND with Michigan, the article would fit perfectly in the Dakota Student!!! Michigan Problems

I wish that the Fighting Sioux Sports Network would carry more away games for the different teams. I don't really get too many chances to travel for away games.

The reason the old Target store at Columbia Mall sat empty for so long is because Target Corp. didn't want any competition to come in right across the street from their new store. The company that had owned columbia mall had tried multiple times to get Target to sell their old store but they could never agree on anything. This last summer Jones Lang LaSalle Company bought Columbia Mall. When this new company bought the mall they publically stated that their main goals were to open a food court and to fill the old Target store. I am sure that one of the reasons JLL Company decided to put a movie theater in the mall is not only will it attract people to the mall but Target Corp would more likely be willing to sell the building if they knew there would not be a competing store that would be moving in. Now by the end of the year there will be a new food court by Marshall Fields and the old Target will be filled. If anyone is interested here is the link to the mall's website. Actually, with this talk about a new stadium with attached hotel in Winnipeg, it sounds more like Winnipeg is trying to be like Grand Forks. I love living in G.F. and every time new stores/restaurants/entertainment options open up, I am glad I live here even more. I think Grand Forks has a very bright future.

What I found interesting is how relatively new these schools are. North FLorida was started in 1972 and has an enrollment just under 15,000. Kennesaw was opened in '66 as a 2 year school and now has an enrollment of over 18,000. North FLorida was in the NAIA up until 92 and KSU was an NAIA member as recently as 94.

There was a dead gopher thrown on the ice at the saturday night game against minnesota this year. The same night as the blow out it was a fitting end to the night.

My vote has to go to Wisthoff. Great all-around player and a pretty good guy too.

I saw a brand new charter bus driving around campus heading over to the Ralph today. It has University of North Dakota painted largely across the side. I guess now would be the best time to bust out a brand new charter bus to cruise all of the hockey players around in during the tourney. Just another recruiting tool for UND? It looked pretty cool.

Add on top of that the 2005 D-II Men's BBall Championship that is being televised on CBS and next seasons regional in hockey. Grand Forks is getting some awesome exposure nationally!!!!!

This is probably a dumb question but...... I have been trying to find the exact years that UND has won it's 13 WCHA regular season championships. I seem to be missing one. 1958, 1965, 1967, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1987, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004... I have also been trying to find out what the final standings were in all of those years. I was also wondering about the final five tourney. If anyone can help that would be great. I checked the WCHA website and couldn't find anything as far as standings going more than a few years back. I can't find anything on FightingSioux.com. I have even been sitting here with my 75 years of Sioux Hockey Book and I seem to be missing something, it's just not all adding up.

If you are into the outdoors, I would recommend checking out Cabella's. An awesome outdoors store with a giant mountain in the middle of the store covered in various animals. Then grab something to eat on the Boardwalk. I would recommend Whitey's, it is across the street from Cabella's. It is a great restaurant/bar that has been around for decades. It has a 40's style deco with AMAZING food right along the Red River.

This is going to turn out to be great publicity for REA, UND, and the city of Grand Forks. We couldn't buy better publicity than being broadcast into 85 Million homes!!!
