They said it was a phone line problem in SUU's press box. I hope SUU isn't planning on pulling the plug every time we are close to scoring.

He also thinks we are playing Souther Idaho. He obviously spent alot of time thinking about his prediction. I believe Southern Utah will give us a tougher game than most are giving them credit for. I really wouldn't be surprised by any score in this game.

Not much has been released about who we will be playing in 2008 as of yet. Even out of the GWFC games, only SUU and UC Davis have been confirmed for next year along with the USD game. Although next year schools are able to schedule 12 games which makes the Cal Poly game fairly likely. I would assume that we will continue to see some regional DII schools on the schedule even with the move. Has anyone heard any rumors of who we could possibly be playing? USD has Winona State and West Texas A&M both at home next season. Also, USD is playing at UNI next year so we probably won't see them on the schedule until at least 2009 at the earliest. I would expect the athletic department to use Homecoming as a pep rally for the move to DI and release a partial 2008 schedule. It would be nice to see 6 home and 6 away games next year!

It took Montana until the fourth quarter to finally wear SUU down. And that was at Wash-Griz Stadium. We are playing them on their home grass. Also, SUU has what is considered the toughest schedule in FCS. They are going to be shooting for every single win they can squeek out. I hope that people aren't just assuming this is an easy win for us. Also, what does NDSU have to do with any of this? They can worry about the Great West conference title this year. We don't have to worry about that until next year. We have the DII playoffs to still worry about this year before we start making meaningless score comparissons.

Fellow North Central member Western Washington just defeated our fellow Great West member UC Davis 28-21. UCD led the series 8-0 coming into this game. Also, this wasn't the best way for UC Davis to open up their brand new $31 million Aggie Stadium.

WWU - 28 UCD - 21 WWU just did a goal line stand against UCD and got the ball back with just under 3 minutes to go!

Anybody else catch the Bison football commercial in the middle of the Fighting Sioux Football Show? Talk about product placement. Somehow I don't think it was a coincidence.

A pretty good start to the 2007 season. It is really hard to tell yet if the Sioux are truely that impressive of a team or if Humbolt was just another UM-Crookston. We will get to see on saturday how well they stack up against Mesa State of the RMAC. That will give us a better understanding of our own team. This thursday we see how some of our competition and conference mates will start off the season. South Dakota opens at West Texas A&M. Minnesota State takes on Northern Iowa. It will be interesting to see how serious UNI takes their DII game this year! St. Cloud takes on Northern State. And Grand Valley opens with St. Josephs. I don't think this game is going to tell us too much about GVSU. It should really be a blow out. Then on saturday Western Washington will take on our future FCS conference mates UC Davis. Augustana takes on Concordia - St Paul. Duluth takes on Bemidji State. And UN-Omaha will take on pseudo-rival (sudo-rival) UN-Kearney.

One down. Thirteen, possibly 14, more games to go!

I have to agree with Bin. If you can't schedule 3-4 hours for only 5 days out of the year, you aren't much of a fan. Understandably there are things such as family weddings, funerals, etc. that can't really be worked around. But I wouldn't consider hunting one of them.

Also, looking at the SprinTurf website, I see they also do track surfaces. Any plans to upgrade the track now or in the near future?
