That staff kicked the crap out of ours from a coaching perspective. Wouldn't be my first choice but I have a ton of respect for him as a coach

Faison has been calling for over 3 weeks already. I have heard of him calling applicants since the firing happened.

For allegations as serious as that I am more than comfortable with HR making the call. There is more to life then football and every institution needs to have ethical requirements.....I am actually a bit disgusted and concerned by some people who still want Pflu after the articles that we have read.

NDSU didn't open to the public as they promoted from within. Had they opened up to a national search they would have had similar timeframes.

Yes he has say and if he wants Pflugrad he could have hired him...There are always ways to get the guy you want. If he chooses someone else it isn't because of HR

I am on the record as saying I like Dewitt...that doesn't make me a 2nd rate fan because I don't support your guy, simply a difference of opinion.

There are certain automatic disqualifies in every hiring situation, whether he met one of them or not I have no idea.

Stop be so over dramatic. It is completely acceptable to pass on someone that was fired for being the coach of a program that went through that. UND NEED A fresh start both on and off the field and Pflugrad just has to much baggage.

There is more to the job than football me it and that can't be ignored.

That really has been bothering me. Unless he had reason to believe Tiber would take it and was mislead. Otherwise that is a significant problem.

I know Faison called Klieman early on and was respectfully declined. He is calling the right people.

Off the points system Bubba doesn't strike FBS or NFL...not sure how he could be the choice

Was defensive Player of the year at Northern Michigan and also has some pro experience at Saints training camp and AFL. He is familiar with the area as he coached at Northern Iowa for 3 years. Has coached everywhere on the defensive side of the ball and has had a lot of success at the FCS level. Most importantly he likes to keep it simple. He coaches a quick defense with sound positioning and tackling. He is also somewhat young and energetic....to me the guy just has the it factor. He would bring UND football back to what it should be and what made the defense a force for so many years.

Ya that was more about Bubba, in my eyes DeWitt should be the choice.

I have to imagine that anyone without FBS experience doesn't have a shot for the job with how the job was written out....that's just my opinion though.

I would be shocked....I like DeWitt from FAU....He would be my 1st choice from the list who applied.

Or common sense, they are dealing with the Hardee mess right now and that was a serious event he was involved in. UND isn't the only school that won't hire him....

You can't brush aside what happened to him at Montana. It is a red flag no matter how you look at it.
