  1. The youngest Lamoureax brother is Mario who plays for central. Then its PJ, who plays defense for the bobcats, then its Jacque who plays forward for the bobcats, and then the oldest brother Phil. In other words: Phil, Jacque, PJ, Mario. All soon to be Fighting Sioux!!!!! As for the goaltending rotation next year, your guess is as good as mine. Brandt will be a senior so he'll get some time, but I'm thinking that Phil will step right in and get playing time right away. The odd, man out may be Ziggy....
  2. It was announced yesterday that UND recruit Phil Lamoureax made the USHL all star game to be held in Lincoln February 3rd. Goaltending will not be a problem, the four years he's at UND. Heres the link with complete rosters: http://www.ushl.com/pr/20032004/20040114ushl.htm
  3. I was at the Ralph a couple weeks ago delivering something to the main office and I saw that the doors were open so I went and watched a little bit of practice. It wasn't a team practice, but a practice for the power play units. The goalie who was there taking shots (aka...extra practice) was none other than Jordan Parise. As for the who will be our brick wall question, I think that its Brandt for sure. I'm kind of unsettled on Nate Ziegelmann though, the kid should get a chance to start a WCHA game rather than just an exhibition. Maybe this weekend at Tech would be the perfect time to see what he could do....
  4. SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT SHUTOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That ought to jinx him.
  5. Whenever I see Brady around campus he's always smiling and always seems to be having a good time. I can't wait until Monday for the Championship game. The Canadians will probably be favored with all the talent that they have, but this would be the year for the U.S. to pull off the big win, and take home gold.
  6. 1-0 USA in the third period.
  7. Montoya is all over the place, still 1-0 USA.......

4-4 Tie. SCSU got three consecutive power plays to end the game, which is probably why they dominated the last period. Good point for UND though, SCSU was talking about sweeping this series to make some room for them in the standings, but UND recovered and got the tie.

That might be the worst checking from behind penalty I've ever seen. Of course Potulny laid on the ice to sell it, but was able to make it back to the bench under his own power.....

Wow, bad start for UND, looks like they may be starting to hit their stride though!
  11. JK is absolutely right about the top ten spots locked up. It would be nice to see the Marvin-Hale-Palmiscno line together again after Parise, Murray, and Stafford get back, but who do you take out of the lineup??
  12. Yeah, I'm pretty suprised that Deano didn't give Ziggy the chance to start the game. Then again you could say that he was giving Jake some time in the net before the big series against SCSU. I'm hoping that one of these weekends Blaiser just decides to start Ziggy out of nowhere and he throws up a stellar performance. But until then, UND can't complain about the goaltending that they've been getting so far!!
  13. Well then, UND pulls out a close win..... I think for the most part that UND looked past Findlay. I was watching the game with a friend, and I said that it would be good for UND if Findlay scored here to wake UND up a little bit, sure enough Findlay scored, UND woke up, and Wilbur's a prophet..... PS: JPar has still not lost a game in his Freshman season.....WCHA Rookie of the year nominee at least??
  14. Ahhhhhhhh.......No points for Thomas Vanek I kind of feel sorry for Vanek though because this is probably the first time in a while he's not playing with very elite hockey players. Its a great honor to play for your country, but I don't know if I'd want to get beat 8-0 every game.
  15. Ditto fair Bison Fan. A Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  16. On behalf of UND fans I would like to wish Coach Kyle Schweigert the best of luck with his new job at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The defenses that UND produced under the coach simply known as "Bubba" were the best in the nation. Good luck with your new job Coach Schweigert, and you will definatley be missed!!!!!!
  17. Caufield is from my home town (Minot obviously) and just watching the kid play football makes you smile. He was a man among boys during high school football and completely took over some games with his ability. He's also got a firey side to him as he's been known to take some 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalties.
  18. That right there is an NHL quality line. I don't think that Eaves is quite the finisher that Bochenski is, but to see that line in action would be a priveledge.

    A Fine Line

Too bad that they aren't a line anymore. Well, I mean unless Blaiser switches them back after the WJC, but I'm pretty sure he intends to put Stafford on that line for good. I'll get the magazine just to read the article Pat

    next year

I think Cody Saunders should be given a shot at kicker next year for UND. The kid only missed one field goal playing outdoors and in the snow most of the time and was the DAC 10 kicker of the year twice playing for Minot State. Don't get me wrong, Glas won some games for UND, but Saunders should get his chance as well. Some people are okay with 50% accuracy for the season(about Glas's average), but I don't think that the Fighting Sioux should be.
  21. BASKETBALL IS THE MOST STUPID SPORT IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD. WHEN GOD CREATED THE WORLD HE SAID NOTHING ABOUT GUYS RUNNING BACK AND FOURTH THROWING A ROUND PUMPKIN INTO A HOOP!!!!!!!!! Here's my vote for the total destruction of the sport of basketball!!!!!!! PS: UND 3 GVSU 2
  22. UND 17 GVSU 16 Even if they lose the game though, I'll be proud of this hard working group of players!!!
  23. I think it will be a classic championship game decided in the fourth quarter. A lot depends on Lueck being able to play, but the Sioux should have a great game plan put together to stop the run, and keep the GVSU offense off of the field. Can't wait until Saturday!!!
  24. Well, we couldn't tackle your number five either, wow is that kid fast!!! We had him in the middle of three guys and he just took off for the touchdown, amazing play....
  25. I'd like to thank UNA fan for coming on board and showing some class about the whole situation. Like I posted earlier I heard nothing racial said the whole game long, and I talked to a kid I know after the game (who happens to be African American) and he didn't say anything about the racial issue and was standing two rows from the front. BUT: If there was something said I'd like to apologize on behalf of the student section. There are some people who take it a little to far, and those are the ones who give everyone a bad name....
