SCSU is doing a great job of blocking shots and getting the puck deep. There was a play on a rush where Mitch Mac. got the puck wide and was unable to get around the defenseman. I thought.....boy, Rocco would have walked around that guy and got to the net. Next shift....Rocco is on the top line......surprise surprise.

That hasn't been the first time a guy has been wide open in front of the net in this game.

I would be happy to see the same UND team from OT Saturday night make their way out for the first period of Friday night. Nothing like watching a UND team come out flying and just pound on a team and get pucks to the net. I'll agree with a previous post. I think this team is capable of beating anyone and going on a nice winning streak with 4 in a row at the Ralph.

I had to quit USCHO......hockey has become such a secondary topic there. I enjoyed discussing hockey with other team's fans, but when the blind hatred came into play every single time it wasn't worth it anymore.

Would hope an emphasis in practice this week is getting bodies in front and setting screens. Wilcox had a good weekend, but at the same time, he did see a lot of pucks thrown at him. Need to get scrappy in front.

I'm a super homer.....hard core in love with the UND men's hockey team. But I think most of us around here are good guys/gals/fans. The issue comes when someone gives an opinion (note...opinion) and they're jumped on. There are those that call a spade a spade and are jumped on for not being true UND fans, then there are those that won't say anything negative or put up with anything negative towards their favorite guys on ice and they're told to take off the green shades and wake up. No win situation. Lets just agree that we'll all have opinions, and others won't agree with them. Unless you're that skiumah guy that didn't see the BLATANT Rowney trip or Kristo get murdered from behind in OT by Bjugstad in front of the net.......

Agreed. I suppose that the new trophy is owned by the WCHA, but the old trophy is CC's. I wonder if its a naming rights thing. CC owns the trophy, the WCHA owns the right to "Broadmoor trophy". I won't pretend to know any type of legality on an issue like this.

Minnesota's defensemen are the difference in their team. Completely different.....completely. Brad brought up a good point in his postgame comments. They win more battles in corners, and are just so much more active with their sticks, with their gap control, physicality, etc. Either John Hill is a horrible coach or Mike Guentzel knows what he's doing. Probably both.
