I'm ready for bandwagon jumpers to go nuts when Thompson and Ausmus make some rookie mistakes, and the team can't produce offensively right away. I had a good conversation with a buddy the other day about the team two years ago captained by Mario. How blessed were we as Sioux fans that that group was able to make the NCAA tournament and put together a run like they did with three lines. Funny how you don't know what you have until it isn't there anymore. Anxious to see the identity of the 2013-2014 group.

Very true. Reminds me of Nick Punto on the Minnesota Twins. Like why did Gardenhire give hime a million chances to be an every day guy. OD needs to get it figured out because I think the coaching staff had very high hopes for him last season (as well as a lot of us sideline reporters). He has the ability to be a first or second line guy, but the way he produced last year he may not even crack the lineup come opening night. Not sure what to say about Mitch/Mark. Mark>Mitch in just about all facets minus shooting the puck. I don't think they can keep Mark off the first or second line, and Mitch likely isn't a top six guy.

Very worried about that too. I think a fourth unit with Pattyn, Rodwell and Gaarder would be dynamite. Guys with experience and some grit to go with it. Wouldn't be afraid to have that unit go against any line of any teams the Sioux play this year.

I still give him $hit about the Sacred Heart comment. He taught me everything I know about the history of UND hockey, from the Bjorkman years to Gino and Hrkac Circus....etc. He travels a lot with his business and I'm glad I can get him to Minneapolis for a couple of days to get him away from the grind that is his life. Now its kind of me keeping him up to date with whats going on with UND hockey. When the regional tournament tickets went on sale at the Ralph that year he called within like two minutes of it opening up to get us prime seats for watching the Sioux get to the frozen four. Like he said, nobody had a better view of the game winning goal than we did. Well, other than Kellen Briggs.....

I think at the Fargo Dome NDSU could beat maybe half of the teams in the Pac 12. Remember, this is playing them at the Fargo Dome: ~Arizona.....mmmm.....toss up. ~Arizona State.....toss up ~Cal....Could beat ~Colorado....Would definitely beat ~Oregon....Nope ~Oregon State.....Nope ~Stanford.....Nope ~UCLA....Nope ~USC....Nope ~Utah.....toss up. ~Washington.....toss up. ~Washington State....would beat. I'd put them in the middle to lower part of the Pac 12. By no means would they get killed every game. They would compete.

Interesting article. If the women's softball team was so close to losing postseason eligibility why didn't they play games at the Alerus center? When the place was built they talked about, "we can have softball games in here too." I'm hoping they'll be able to play games in the new indoor facility.

I can't believe lakes is a real person.....who deals with actual people..... Those types of people amongst the fanbase just make you cringe......I almost feel sorry for Bison fans that they get to claim him. Almost. PS: Zero tolerance on acts of violence and he admits to taking a fight outside and punching a guy. Won't miss a down.

Phil Hansen can not be trusted! Beck lost round one, came back and won round two. Hoping that his lawyer wins him round three. Being totally serious in my estimate I'd say its 50/50 whether Beck lines up for the Bison next season. With what we've seen before he could maybe not miss a down. #taylorhe'savictim#

Glad to hear the individual who was in the fight with him was not in the hospital as of late Monday, but I'm not going to pretend that Mr. Beck is the only one at fault in this ordeal. It takes two to tango.
