I've always wondered why Canada hockey doesn't put together some type of U17 and U18 team that would travel all over the country and play teams from every league in the CHL. Heck, have them play teams from the BCHL too. Why not? I think the USDT has done worlds of good for hockey here in the United States. And you ask most kids who have been through the program about their experience and they have nothing but good things to say.

Hide your valuables in Canada.....you don't lose to a team that hasn't medaled since 2005 or for that matter hasn't beaten Canada EVER as the Czech Republic.

Yes, after the mighty Bizen take a bus up to Grand Forks they should just tear down the Alerus center. Because UND, Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington will never produce a football team that is on the same level as this group. I'm hoping the Bizen win in Frisco though, good luck to a darn good team.

Better question....has an NCAA hockey coach ever coached Canada's WJC team? I'm guessing no.

I was torn on the two choices, but I think the program is now in better hands than what it was left in. I'm excited for the prospect of the defense getting better. A lot of people will throw Bubba under the bus after he doesn't go .500 his first season, but I think most of us know that this rebuilding process will take time. Congrats to Coach Schweigert.

That game wasn't as close as the score either. That well coached NAIA team kicked our butts. Absolutely took it to UND on both sides of the football.

Going to TSN and reading post game blogs makes me chuckle....Canada should just forfeit the rest of the tournament. After an exhibition loss they're being called the worst Canadian team ever....

Update: USA beats Finland 3-2 behind 38 saves from Providence goaltender Gilles. Canada trailing Sweden 3-0 in the third. Sweden looks to be the favorite. Pretty impressed with them. Their powerplay is lethal.

Its either that or an NBA segment setting up a full day of basketball on Christmas day.

When they went to Ed on the radio for the last two scoring plays my heart was in my throat. Was like I was watching it 12 years ago when I was a Freshman in college.....what a tremendous team win.

Glad that Towson won the game, but I don't think there is much they can do against the buzz saw they are running into. They won't be able to run the ball, and although he showed some heart at the end, I don't think their backup QB can move the ball against the bison. Why EWU didn't run the ball more at the end will probably haunt them forever. Left too many timeouts for Towson and left too much time on the clock at the end.

Good for Towson. Winning on the road with their backup QB on the red turf. Great to watch.

Losing great players hurts, but this ship is going to take more than one or two years to right. I'll miss Golloday, I'll miss Jackson, but they were part of a 3-8 football team that got embarrassed at home more than I've ever seen any UND team get embarrassed at home. This team will get better with discipline, character, and like the post above mentioned, better line play on both sides of the football. If its already a business to Golloday, and Jackson is a big teddy bear who quits on his team maybe its better suited that they get out of the program while UND is rebuilding.
