  1. Tremendous job of sticks in lanes. Defensively very well done so far.
  2. The Pattyn line has been good.
  3. Talk about stretching the rink......Any puck back into their end during transition Miami keeps the week side wing near the far blue line to try and counter rush on a turnover. Love the way Miami plays.
  4. North Dakota scores the first goal in NCHC history. The way it should be.
  5. That fat official and me already have issues......you can't call a play where a guy falls, then not call a hook on the wall when the penalty killer is trying to ice the puck. GOAL!
  6. Tonight's keys to the defensive zone: ~Don't throw the puck around ~Puck possession ~Staying on the defensive side of the puck....inside out fellas....inside out....
  7. Yeah, you've got to think those huge losses at home will hurt any chance they'd have at even being an at large team. But I agree, don't think they'll win out.
  8. I know we all have green goggles on half the time, but that fourth unit could be one of the better ones in the nation. If you're going by what a prototypical fourth line is asked to do. Gosh if you keep them together for a while....
  9. I'm glad they didn't let Mitch on the plane.
  10. Copyright Brad Schloss: UND’s lines 21 Brendan O’Donnell–16 Mark MacMillan–15 Michael Parks 10 Adam Tambellini–9 Drake Caggiula–19 Rocco Grimaldi 29 Bryn Chyzyk–27 Luke Johnson–7 Wade Murphy 13 Connor Gaarder–28 Stephane Pattyn–17 Colten St. Clair 18 Dillon Simpson–24 Jordan Schmaltz 5 Nick Mattson–6 Paul LaDue 20 Gage Ausmus–2 Troy Stecher 31 Zane Gothberg 33 Clarke Saunders
  11. Yup, brad just posted it. What I said....errr...the latter.
  12. So does that mean then: OD-Johnson-Parks Tambo-Drake-Rocco Pattyn-Gaarder-St. Clair Chyzyk-Mark-Murphy I'm thinking with no Mitch those lines have to be juggled a bit. Maybe Mark, Parks, OD. Then you have Johnson with Bryn and Murphy?
  13. I like your setup, probably better than mine with the chance that the third unit with St. Clair could add scoring to the fold. Then you've got whatever line Pattyn centers as the grind unit. I was crossed as to whether sit Panzo or Ausmus. I went with experience, but I don't think there is a wrong choice. I mean other than Thompson sits tonight.
  14. If they win out do you think they make the post season?
  15. Alright, thanks sir. Lots of sacred heart knowledge like I said.
  16. National TV games tend to have longer TV timeouts. Longer TV timeouts mean less of a four line game. Load up the top two units, and have your third and fourth steal some shifts here and there between TV timeouts. Mark-Johnson-Parks Tambellini-Drake-Rocco Gaarder-Pattyn-St. Clair Mitch-Chyzyk-O'Donnel (rarely sees the ice) D scratches: Thompson and Ausmus Zane in the net.
  17. I'll say Sac St. 35.....UND 23. Had NAU beat, and NAU beat a Montana team that still gives me nightmares about their appearance in Grand Forks. Keep it within 14 points fellas. Try to get better every week.
  18. I apologize for asking this. But is it one size fits all when it comes to the hats again? I'm getting one for my dad, and he has such a big head that I hope a one size fits all would actually fit him. Must be all that Sacred Heart hockey knowledge.
  19. I'll never forget the article in the Pioneer Press where Hunter really just pushed me away from ever really liking him. Lets see if I can find it.... http://www.twincities.com/sansevere/ci_6521212 PS: How is North Dakota treating you? Cold and windy up in my area.
  20. Ohh no you don't. What bothers me is people who call themselves Twins fans treat Torii Hunter like the best thing to ever happen to the Minnesota Twins organization. And every time he comes back everyone is supposed to cherish every at bat of his, and the way he plays the game. Hunter decides to leave.....gets cheered. A.J. Pierzynski gets traded and gets booed.....Minneapolis sports fans at their finest. I hope he never wins a world series.
  21. There was a day when I was a threat to shoot par any time out with the right conditions. Then slowly each of the list I mentioned showed up and you can basically add three strokes for each reason. Which, I was going to go golfing tomorrow, but it might snow....I'm bothered by that as well.
  22. So basically the last three years have been pissed down their preverbal leg with the whole Ponder experiment. I for one wasn't a fan of drafting the guy. They needed a QB badly, but there just wasn't the quality guy available at the spot they were picking. I mean who knew that Kapernick would turn out the way he did? I guess originally I was a Mallett fan, but who knows what he's got behind Tom Brady for the past three seasons? Well, I guess Freeman can turn out and be the athletic QB that makes plays with a good running game to support him. Or he can complete 40% of his passes and Teddy Bridgewater here we come. Personally I think he had a pretty talented running back in Tampa Bay behind him, but thoughts of the word "uncoachable" come to mind. Last thought.....he kind of reminds me of a Daunte Culpepper. So Viking fans will love him immediately.
  23. The former hockey player in me says play it out until someone gets the game winning goal. No matter if its 2AM the next morning. The fan in me that likes to see the growth of college hockey and its fanbase is okay with a shootout for its entertainment purposes. Both teams get a point, one team gets another point for winning something that adds a certain edge to the season. If UND misses out on home ice by one point because Duluth beats CC in a shootout in March, did UND really deserve home ice? Arguments can be made both ways I guess.
  24. I think we've got a huge rivalry brewing after that challenge. And it likely will go down in history as the moment these schools became true rivals. In other news I'm glad that Stecher plays injured, and Brad is starting to take strolls down memory lane. I remember listening to TH calling the UND-Miami game and how awestruck he was that they gave up a breakaway in the first ten seconds of the game. Parise was just huge that year for UND. Who ever thought that he was actually a good goalie and not a ploy to get his little brother to stick around....
  25. Frattin-Malone-Trupp if still together could be an effective line in the NHL. They just had tremendous chemistry, and give them some time together and they'd still figure out a way to compete.
