TSN has a video up about the relationship between Tyson Jost and his mother. It's a must see UND hockey fans. I'd say a bit of a tear jerker..... Glad they let us see that side of him. Great story.

Regardless of who is the Slovakian goalie the U.S. needs to win that game by 5 or 6 goals tomorrow. With a game Thursday against Russia it'd be nice to get up big and just roll four lines and 6 d.

How does Huska not get player of the game for Slovakia?

If Huska is starting tomorrow his coach did him no favors letting him get hung out to dry for 60 minutes. All Canada in that one.

If they plan on Huska tomorrow against the U.S. then I'm guessing Tomek in the third. If they stay with Huska it could mean Tomek tomorrow night.

Saw the first period, didn't see first two goals on him. I'm thinking Tomek in period three.

You've got to believe the Slovak coaches wouldn't start him with the knowledge that Jost has seen him every day in practice at North Dakota. Then again, you're right....Patrick Roy couldn't save Slovakia tonight, so does it really matter who the goalie is?

3-1 now Swiss half way through the third with the Czechs heading to the PP. *Edit……Czechs score, and its 3-2 with under ten to go.

After two periods Switzerland leads the Czechs 2-0, and boy were they buzzing at the end of the second period. Czechs looked a little tired at the end of the second period there, and the Swiss didn't play yesterday.

Some like it, some hate it. They were the better team, outshot the Finns, and could have really won 4 or 5 to one if they bury their chances. With their pre tournament showings against Canada and the US it was definitely a big step for the Czechs.

I hate how they always open with a patsy. Wish they had opened against Russia or Slovakia. Playing a Russia right away would get the cute out of their game pretty quick.
