  1. Moving their home playoffs to a facility that holds only 1,000 people doesn't prove anything? Ohio State doesn't give a rats rear end about hockey. UND adjusts their schedule, but still plays in their facility.
  2. I saw Nate Schmidt do the same thing this year. Got hit and explodes into the boards head first. I give the guy a two minute boarding penalty. But because Seratorre explodes into the boards he draws a five.... And didn't miss a shift.....
  3. Ohio State will just never care about hockey. Putting their home playoff series in their practice rink speaks volumes when they could have played in the Blue Jackets facility. I just looked up what was in their main rink that they got booted out for......the Ohio State girls basketball tournament.....
  4. ~Every team that wins a national championship has a player step up and score a big goal that isn't expected to contribute....ala Matt Henderson. ~Have to keep shifts going in Niagara's end. No easy outs. A lot of the time UND's weakside d has the green light to pinch when whoever they are playing rings the wall. Big Mac loves this freedom.....hopefully the rest of the guys on the blue line are aggressive. ~This cost them the game winning goal against CC. Rocco and Parks don't communicate as to who has the guy at the point, and it ends up in UND's net. One mistake like that now and your season is over with.
  5. Believe so. I think they are trying to get away from Olympic sheets for NCAA play. Which is one reason why they went away from on site regionals.
  6. Twice as many goals in two games as he's had all season. Thats 80% of his output to date. Matt Henderson=OD?
  7. Just paged through BTN for the week and weekend. Seems like Women's LaCrosse must be having some sort of national tournament or something really important going on as well. Plus all sorts of coverages of press conferences for NCAA basketball tournaments. Two of their teams are in the NCAA hockey tournament. Could show a replay of the Minnesota-Wisconsin outdoor game? Nope. Well at least on Monday they'll have a Big Ten football recap.
  8. I'm a big ten fan. Cheer for most of the schools in all sports....including gopher football when they are losing to I-AA schools from North Dakota. I just think that college hockey is such an afterthought to them with big picture sports like pumpkin ball and pigskin tossing always having the top priority. The big ten network lost my love when a few years ago I watched a game that I later found out was called in the studio.....no live reporting, interviews....anything....plus they murdered names all night. When I lost BTN on my cable package earlier this year I called and pay six extra bucks for the channel. But unfortunately it wasn't for the college hockey productions.....or lack there of them.
  9. Eventually OD on the top line will make sense right? When they win the national championship it will all make sense.....
  10. Hmmm....yup.......Ohio State.....had under a 1,000 folks show up for their final two playoff games at home against Ferris State. Didn't even play those games at the facility that they built specifically for hockey. (17,000 capacity). But hey, when they played Michigan there was 9,000 admiring fans in the stands. So when they played their biggest rival their building was only half full? So when Ohio State plays Penn State at the big ten tourney at the X the attendance will be? Not that the big ten will care because they'll have already made their money on basketball and football.
  11. Just don't let my dad have the mic..... Would love that type of setting. Hoggsbreath 2014, controversial topics in college hockey. That would be a lot of fun.
  12. If it isn't Rocco, Mark has proven he's fine up there as well. When the season is on the line with the bounce of the puck, they have to put their best foot forward. We saw the seasons on the line lineup for about five minutes on Thursday. Hopefully we see it again.
  13. In the end I'll go with our coach's choice and live with it. But by garsh, if you watched the Saturday Minnesota game, and that stretch against CC, you saw what could have been. I agree, sucks to have them neutralized, but at the same time if you have Mark-Rowney-Parks going on line two and that line gets going and dominating, whoever they are playing against will have a decision to make defensively. Hopefully Drake-General-St. Clair found some chemistry as well. They looked pretty good together.
  14. Yep. Kind of like college football with the bowl games. UND will either get CCHA, or hockey east officials I'm guessing.
  15. I'm guessing the NCAA gave them a strict set of guidelines to follow.
  16. Here is your committee members. http://www.uscho.com/ncaa/mens-division-i-ncaa-tournament/
  17. I remember they were playing BC Porter's senior year and someone got the worst elbowing penalty in the history of elbowing penalties that gave BC a 5-3 which lead to the game winner.
  18. I'm guessing it will be a ccha or hockey east crew. Hopefully a huge hit isn't a penalty. But we've seen it all too common in the NCAA tournament. Don't hit anyone too hard.
  19. Best time of the year quickly turns into the worst time of the year. When the agents/teams come a callin.
  20. Kind of had to rush out the door, so didn't get in the picture. Not that I'm the most photogenic person alive.
  21. Really no need for a four line game. Six shifts before a minute and a half break. I know six forwards that should play a ton of minutes.
  22. I think the biggest thing will be scoring first. Play with a lead and bury them with your depth. Need to make chewbakka uncomfortable.
  23. No....many gopher fans I talked to were scared as hell about the move to the big ten. This is the obscurity he and many of your fans mentioned possibly happening. Every big ten sign was made by gopher fans this weekend.
  24. The WCHA should have been represented in all four regionals. And I wouldn't have minded seeing Notre Dame in Grand Rapids and Minnesota in Toledo to split up the CCHA schools. *Note* I know that would never happen. Just Wilbur wishing for some bracket integrity and avoiding interconference match ups in regionals where it can be prevented.
  25. Very good points. Quinnipiac is the group that should feel the most betrayed by the process. They said all the right things on ESPN, and smiled for the camera. I hope they come out with a chip on their shoulder, and hit BC the moment they step off the bus. I'm a Quinnipiac fan for the remainder of the season. Well, until they lose to UND in the national championship 4-1.
